Just for the record....

1. Flower of Scotland is NOT our national anthem

2. Kilts are common dress attire for functions and events - Kenny wore one to get married so he obviously likes it

3. I don't know anyone who votes for him "because he's Scottish"..... the few I know who have voted for him do it for more valid reasons, i.e. he's enjoying the experience, making a huge effort and has shown good progress.

4. I wouldn't care if Gethin danced with a daffodil stuck up his backside should he so desire or if Letitia Dean came out dressed as a pearly queen

5. His accent hurts your poor delicate little ears.... boo hoo.....I've not got the foggiest what John Barnes says most weeks and guess what .... it doesn't bother me

Finally......

if it wasn't for Scotsmen, you wouldn't have a tv on which to watch SCD or a telephone line for your internet connection to this forum.

Now just give it a rest and move on

Don't fight it - embrace it!




Deep Fried Mars Bar Recipe


1 Mars bar
1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup cornflour
1 pinch baking soda
milk or beer
oil (for deep frying)


Chill the chocolate bar by keeping it in the fridge, but don't freeze it.
Mix the flours and bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) together.
Add milk (traditional) or beer (which gives a lighter result) until you get a batter with the consistency of thin cream.
Heat the oil until a small piece of bread will brown in a few seconds, but don't allow to smoke.
Remove wrapper from chilled chocolate bar.
Coat completely in batter.
Carefully lower into hot oil and fry until golden brown.
Serve, with ice cream or tatties, if you're so inclined.

Well said Ally, as a very proud scot, and an Alesha and Matt supporter, I voted for Kenny not because he is scottish or danced to FoS but because I thought he was greatly improved this week as Peter Jackson and Lillia said on the expert commentary.

Look, at the end of the day, it's Kenny who's playing the Scotland card. It's pathetic. The kilt, Flower of Scotland! How is he not using his nationality for support? I'm not saying all people who vote for him are Scots. Of course not.

But HE IS playing the card. What relevance does it have to his dancing? He's crap most weeks.

My point is: what difference does it make and why should anyone care ? This is a light entertainment show - nothing more, nothing less
