who are you to question my personal opinion? i'm pretty sure the last time I checked, we were all allowed to give our opinions on here! Mine is that Rhydian was/is overrated. The professionals can say what they want, won't make me agree with them.

You'd need to be omnipresent to know such things. This is a bit exagerrated and extreme, IMO.

I didn't hear Buble, Dion & Gabrielle saying this. I suppose they aren't professional enough to be included in your definition of all. Lets keep this in perspective as you are not doing Rhydian no favours by these totally OTT comments.. He's good but let him get established & at his age the voice is not yet fully developed. I do hope he continues with his classical training as it would be a shame not to develop is voice to its full potential.

Plus, as I said, the ones that matter in the music industry have called Rhydian talented , charismatic and much more. The "overrated" word was used in conjunction with Leon - check yesterday's BBC "biggest turkeys of 2007 " in the show "2007 in recap" and many other comments over the last few days regarding Leon and his win. I think all the backlash RHydian is getting ATM is because some Leon fans are annoyed and upset Leon was called "overrated" and now try to turn it on Rhydian. It's not Rhydian's fault- he is not paying the critics that elogiate him and dismiss Leon...for crying out loud.

Back to the topic. Rhydian will sustain, ineed , a long term career. Whether his path with be in songwriting and albums, concerts and huge productions...it's all down to him. He can do all of them and do them well.
Paul might find it hard , as a lyrical tenor, to compete , longevity-wise , with the superstars of the crossover genre, especially as he lacks performance skills.

Me finding Rhydian overrated has nothing to do with being a fan of Leon one bit. I don't like him and im entitled to that opinion thank you very much.

Compare Paul Potts to any decent tenor and he pales alongside them.

Last I checked, Celine Dion said Rhydian was "brilliant", had an "amazing voice" and really "moved" her when singing Phantom. Buble said he was "scarily good, Josh Groban is looking behind him".
