It's such a shame that you need to see 'Leon' in any crit about Rhydian. I don't think the poster deserved what you gave to them. Sorry.

Its an insult to Rhydian to have this thread. Potts is a sham of a singer. Rhydina is in a different league.

I prefer Rhydian for his showmanship and ability to sing more types of songs - but PP a sham - why?

Love Rhydian's voice but Potts' superior versions of Get This Party Started and Go West just swing it (if you pardon the pun) for me. Potts doesn't have quite the voice compared to Rhydian but he's more prepared to do the camp stuff, which he nails every time (and he's promised me a free mobile for saying this).

Personally I preferred Paul when he was standing astride the grand piano for Somebody to Love .... he owned it.
Sorry, but I just didn't think he carried off the silver suit in GTPS that well ... JMO Totally forgot about that one. Yes, he owned that piano alright. Brought it with him.

Rhydian is aspiring to be a Musical/Theatre star...a role he will triumph at....of that, there is NO doubt. Paul Potts has an awful , awful long way to go before he can be mentioned in the same breath as the 3 tenors. He's good but not THAT good.......... |

I also preferred Paul's duet of How Much Is That Doggy in the Window with Connie Talbot to Rhydian and Katherine Jenkins singing You Raise Me Up.
Although I thought that Connie overpowered him in parts. I've been told that the sound engineer that night was called Mr Talbot, though, so we must be careful in making rash judgments. Plus Paul was dressed in a full furry canine suit complete with dog collar so this may have hindered his Rhydian-beating vocals somewhat |

He has said numerous times that he want's to branch away from opera and try something more mainstream. He has done an interview today in a Welsh newspaper saying that his album will not be opera. |

And original material including some of his own. Plus maybe recorded in the US of A. And out for the Summer, followed by a tour. Exciting times. |
