So is it gonna be a Kenny v Kate final?

As the weeks go by and these two useless couples stay in week after week at the expense of better couples, the horrible thought struck me last night.

Is it conceivable that we could have a Kate -v- Kenny finale?

They are so bad and yet manage to remain out of the bottom two, is it a possibility?

I very much doubt it - the voting public seem to have a habit of keeping the underdogs in until, well, about now. Then they seem to concentrate on talent and entertainment.

The judges still have the final vote up to the semi final and presumably three couples then go through to the final which is decided by the GBP. Not sure if the judges get to vote for the third couple or if we do. If the judges do, then at least one good dancer will go through to the final. If the GBP do, then it's anyone's guess and could very well end up with Kenny and Kate!

I know. I'd rather watch those creepy brother and sister singers on X Factor.

I just hope one of them goest next week, they are painful to watch and when they announce the bottom two and neither of them are in it, I just groan.

I have no problem with the underdog but they are sooooooooooo bad, it is time now to get serious and get rid of them!!

If that were to happen, then the programme itself would lose all credibility, ratings would fall dramatically and the lead to the programme's demise.

This is the saddest possibility of all, that those who are voting so mindlessly just can't think far enough ahead to be able to work this out.

I think possibly Kenny could get near to the final as he's an underdog yes but he's improving more than Kate. I think the final always seems to be the best dancers left in the comp after a certain point. THe problem this year is the dance off has changed how quite a lot of people vote. It makes trying to predict what will happen this year impossible as we have no yard stick to measure this format of voting against.

In a sense we're in uncharted territory. The anti-judge vote seems to be that much stronger this year....and that maybe because of the IMO ill-advised introduction of the dance-off.

Certainly I don't think it's a possibility that should be discounted.

I think, and hope, Kate will go soon, she's just not getting any better, and funny as her dances are I think we've seen enough now. Kenny, I think, may be around for a while, there was a definate improvement in his VW, and if that could translate to his Latin then we could see the Goughie effect again. (And goddamm it, I want to see his rhumba )

Kenny actually did a good VW this week; for a big bloke he could have moved across the floor better, but his footwork was very accurate, so I felt he deserved to stay in THIS week.

Having said that, if he and Kate reach the final, I wouldn't bother to watch. In fact, I'm reaching the stage now where if Kate & Kenny are not voted out next I'm going to give up watching. That's not a negative-hate thing complained about on other threads, it's just that the show gets boring if the weakest links are saved at the expense of the stronger ones.

I too am on the verge of switching off if Kate stays one more week. She is NOT improving at all and it really seems that Kate and Anton are now playing that card to get sympathy and the funny vote.

Kenny is improving but I don't think hes good enough for the final.

Matt and Penny were not the worst dancers. Penny is unpopular which is why shes there for a second time and went.

If Kenny gets to the final and maybe wins he then he will be immediately voted into the Scots parliament and possibly as their First Citizen.

He is obviously the greatest Scot ever to pull on a kilt and holding a thistle ( so camera could see it ).

Hoots.

I don't mind Kenny so much - he does genuinely seem to try and he is improving; but I'm not convinced Kate tries at all. She just seems to giggle annoyingly, stagger about woodenly and then beg people to vote for her. Actually, I don't see much motivation for her to try - she's very well rewarded for being rubbish.

I don't think it would be the end of the world if one of them made the final (though I'd be disgruntled that they'd have taken a better dancer's place), and I have faith that they'd then come third, leaving the final two to be a proper competition.

BOTH of them in the final would be wrong, because that means that the final would just be boring, in my opinion.

I wouldn't watch a final with Kate and Kenny in it. In fact if they both get to the semis that is the point where I would switch off.

I don't care for Kenny, but I like Kate and Anton - and I think she does try, and her ballroom last week was a real improvement. But it has got to the point now where Kate and Kenny are the only two weak links, and I don't want to see good dancers to continue to leave because she and Kenny keep getting voted up.

I really hope the bbc sees the error of their ways and returns to the previous judging system next year. If they are bonded to having a Sunday show they could continue to do so, without having a dance off/judges' final choice.

I hope neither Kenny or Kate are in the final. Surely the novelty has worn off by now?

It would be a shame if we end up with another Chris Parker-style final.

Well if it does happen, then I'm sure that all the hundreds of thousands of people who voted for them will be watching, and I doubt that either the BBC nor Children in Need will lose any sleep over your absense.

Votes of those who vote for quality will regroup and outnumber those voting for Kate and Kenny, at least I want to hope so. It's possible that we'll lose more good but not so popular dancers in the process though...

The BBC would as it would have an effect on next series as less people will bother as the dancing counts for nothing and remember more 35+ watch SCD for the dancing then watch X-Factor.

If I was going by who I like most I'd pick Kelly cos shes fit but I don't as I don't think her dances are that great. This week I though John and Gethin were far better.

and the hundreds of thousands of people who didn't vote for them will no doubt be like me extremely peeved that one person who can't dance (at least kenny is improving) is in the final when other better dancers are out - the programme is called Strictly Come Dancing not Strictly Get Dragged around the Dancefloor by your Partner

Oh I think it would be fun...this is entertainment show after all, isn't it?

I rather it's Kate or Kenny or anyone else for the final rather than Kelly Brook that's for sure.
