Not really , either you believe that the competition should be judged on the dancing or not. If you believe it should then a good dancer winning as opposed to the best is just plain wrong. If not then Kate has just as much right to be in as long as people vote for her IMHO.

That has nothing to do with my post or my expansion of the meaning of that post.

Kate is good only for entertainment value, IMO Kenny is making reasonable progress and not as good a dancer as Gethin, Matt & Alyesha. However, it is a dance competition and as in previous years the best dancers will be in the final. Kate & Kenny only have a few more weeks left before we will all see sense & vote them off.

I agree Kenny is progressing and I love to see a contestant improve but for me he has no natural grace or agility and I find him awkward to watch. I admire him for trying so hard, but there are such better contestants, I just think I can't watch another week where both of these continue in the contest, it's frustrating to watch.

It has a sense of inevitability about it. Kate and Kenny in the final three. They have such a massive audience vote that only a complete change of heart by them (the audience) will keep them out.

I'll make another prediction - next weekend the dance off will be between 2 out of Kelly, Matt, Alesha. Gethin with his uniform following is probably safe.

Sorry no offence meant; by the way, which ones are they?

In a Julian Clary type way I'd love to see Kenny in the final. Remember when Julian did the Officer and a Gentleman thing - I thought that was great, and it helped somewhat to assuage my disappointment that Aled had been knocked out in his favour.

With Kenny we've already had the kilt and the song and I thought they were both great; perhaps not technically brilliant but entertaining in a good way. I've really warmed to Kenny; in the first week he came across as a bit dour, but he seems a lovely bloke and I really commend him for all the things he wants to incorporate and that he and Ola have done quite successfully when all's said and done.

I don't want him to go, so I may well be tempted to pick up the phone for him sometime this week.

Kate on the other hand is no better than she was in week one and has done nothing of genuine interest; I hope she goes this week.

OK, but I presume they have both long stopped playing? I mean, without trying to sound rude, Kenny L is a big bloke, though not necessarily fat, but John Barnes is so overweight and gets out of breath so quickly, I couldn't imagine him being able to kick a ball about now.

Still when the Beeb give us Strictly Come Donkey next year instead they'll no doubt be voting like fury for the cloven-footed, clod-stomping asinine z-list celebs attracted to participate.

Notwithstanding his no-doubt stellar celebrity status, perhaps the man whose act involves pretending to ride an ostrich could be persuaded to join in...for charidee.

He would, of couse wear his ostrich costume because that broad unsubtle 'banana-skin' style humour would be de rigeur. How we'd laugh as he and his birds (geddit) would fail to master the waltz, cha cha, jive, American Tango etc. all the way to his, well deserved victory. Perhaps Kate is lucky she's in SCDancing and SCDonkey as even she may not be bad enough for the fans when Bernie and the Ostrich ride into town (geddit again...)

Kenny stopped playing in 2005. He played for Scotland 70 times in 11 years.

John stopped playing in 1997. He played for England 79 times in 12 years.

Your money helly and everyone is entitled to vote as they see fit, but just as I was gutted to see Julian Clary go through at the expense of Aled, so I would feel the same if better dancers were ousted whilst Kate or Kenny went through.

In fact if that happened I wouldn't bother watching the final.

I thought Flower of Scotland was a beautiful melody for their foxtrot, but I did think the kilt was a gimmick too far for the paso. The dance is supposed to tell a story - and a bullfighter in a kilt - couldn't get my head around that one.

I did like Julian, but I too was gutted that Aled missed out on the final. (I voted for Aled that night)

Can't see both Kate and Kenny getting to the finals. There's not enough of a non-dancing vote to split and get them both there IMO.

(Sorry to lump them both together, I know Kenny is better than La Garraway but only by a little).
