Don't think Darren ever was. Can't remember Matt being in the bottom two, but can't say for sure.

Think Claire Sweeney was a tad annoying, so no public vote!

Matt was in the bottom 2 in the semi final. But then there were only 3 couples left.

Apart from the very few exceptions mentioned including Dancing On Ice I don't think once you've been in the bottom 2 you can expect to win as it shows there's no big public vote for you.

Once Emma was in the bottom 2, I think for a total of 3 times before the semi, I knew no chance, along with Zoe.

Darren was never in the bottom 2, his public vote was way ahead of everybody else's in the third series, once the dancing kicked in.

Mark was never in the bottom 2. When he and Karen were called out first for the final, it was just a matter of tying up the dances.

I thought she was only in the bottom 2 the first week with Tamara Beckwith..... then never again.

Stefan Booth was the great bottom 2 survivor

I remember Pop Idol 2 published the order and percentages of votes after the series ended. Both changed wildly from episode to episode, depending on the songs and who was winning changed often. I was amazed. Michelle, who won, was in the bottom 2 at least once. Only towards the end did she solidly score very highly (I think). It was also clear that the order the names were called was carefully done to give the impression that people were in danger who were actually getting very high votes. Obviously SCD is a different programme but I think it's fair to assume the voting varies, as opinion does on here, week by week.

Interesting to see:_
8 couples in series one.
10 in series two
12 in series three
14 in series four and five.

So does that make it more difficult to win in the later years?
More competition?

They were only in the bottom two for their Jive. Trust me, I've watched it enough times.
