I do sympathise with him, I feel he must be feeling quite low and somewhat embarrassed after last weeks verdict.

While Kate may be grateful to still be in the competition, does Anton feel the same I wonder, now he has to teach......er... try to teach Kate a new dance knowing that he has his work cut out. It must be embarrassing for him to compete week after week against his dance mates who have more competent partners who show improving dance skills each week, and then to be kept in purely because the GBP find it amusing, and then for a lovely dancer to be eliminated surely must be hard to swallow.

I wonder if within his circle of professional dance friends he is being ribbed about this...no doubt he his..... poor Anton, he always seems to draw the short straw.

Also he is the consumate gentleman and probably would never let his true feelings about the situation in which he finds himself be known.

Anton is trying to see the funny side to it all. I was glad to see him angry in training as Kate is simply NOT trying when you see the VT clips of training.

Why would Anton be annoyed?

I suspect he loves the publicity, and the chance to ititate the judges and the powers that be that always give him the rubbish partners.

I did not suggest that that he would be annoyed. I am merely sympathising with the man for having such a useless partner and for the embarrassment it must give him. He may well see the funny side of the situation, but I wouldn't mind betting he would have preferred to have had a partner with more talent so that the public would vote for skill rather than for laughs!!

Kate is clearly spending the time, but it really does look as if she's not trying. She appears to be going through the motions in training . Every move she takes seems to be understated. Perhaps she needs a few drinks before she dances.

That Salsa was terrible for someone who has spent the whole week training with a professional. There was no attempt to really engage with the music at all.

She needs psychotherapy.

I do not know why everyone is so upset that Kate is still in the show. For goodness sake it is an entertainment show after all.

Yes I know it is a dancing competition but it should not be taken so seriously.

It is a brilliant Light Entertainment BBC show for Saturday night.

So what if some of the poorer dancers are still in there thats what makes it watchable seeing how they progress!

Actually you've just reminded me of what my OH said when he heard Derek Draper's comments on Kate's sexiness (he basically said she wasn't very sexy). My OH was shouting at the telly "Well its no wonder she doesn't think she is if even you don't flippin tell her!!" . Anton was more complementary on Kate's sex appeal than her own husband who is, by the way, a psychotherapist!

I do not think she has got worse she has improved a little - I think she just needs to let herself go more and get some more confidence.

I dunno - Anton to me always looks like he's having a whale of a time. As does Kate. It's what makes them enjoyable to watch.

Saturday was so bad, you could believe she was doing it on purpose!! It looked like she had only spent a few minutes practising.

That's the whole point - Kate has hardly progressed at all.

Everyone loves seeing the celebs improve, but that is just not happening with Kate even if she thinks it is.

I think she is totally blind to just how much effort the other celebs put in and she is completely delusional when she says she's good in training.

She can't do anything without looking at her feet first and making sure she is in the correct starting position.

She may well be a lovely person, but she is spoiling the programme for me now and do feel sorry for Anton having to make the best of such a bad situation.

I agree with you - it would be very boring to watch if they were all so very good and got 10's all the time

They both are enjoying themselves which is far better than taking yourself too seriously like some of the other dancers.

No.... but if we got that 100% of the time then the program would be just like the orginal Come Dancing which was boring and hardly anyone watched!!!

What happened to the old adage "Practise makes Perfect"?

With Kate, it seems it doesn't work. I presume she does practise, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Most of her dance moves look like they're being performed for the first time.

All the competitors are enjoying themselves, as they all have said so, also each and everyone of them want to win, don't tell me that Kate is any different in that respect, she would love to win just as much as the others, but she knows she cannot on dance skills alone, so her so called "fun" performances are all she has to rely on to keep her there.

I think Anton's had enough now. He knows he will never teach this dippy bird to dance and you can tell he wants the whole thing over. He was on loose women yesterday with that Lesley Garrett promoting something or the other, surley he should have with Kate promoting SCD or talking about their relationship.

All is not well in the partnership of Kate amd Anton. I think they will be voted out this week. Please Please Please!!!

I suspect that next year the powers that be will ensure that he gets a celeb who is in with a chance of winning from the off. Unless of course, he "does one" before then!

If I was Anton I'd of quit!! She is not entertaining, she gives nothing to the programme and its time to stop far better dancers getting voted off.

I agree, Kenny gives his all, Kate doesn't even seem interested when on the dance floor, when she gets told off by Anton she smirks. She has no passion to improve, so its pretty pointless putting her through the torture of being useless every week.

If she was like Kenny, who tries hard to improve on something that he is not natural with, then i'd be all for Kate, but she has not put in any effort what so ever. Shame her injury didn't keep her out the whole thing.

If u wanted entertainment with Salsa dancing you should of kept Willie in, not Kate!!

What I find quite astonishing is that after all the tuition from Anton she is still as totally hopeless as she is.

She puts in the hours, but looks like she's not really trying. Most people would be better than that after just a few hours let alone weeks of personal tuition.

And, it's not like she looks great in training but nerves get to her during the performance. I haven't seen her look any good in training either.

Does Anton need to call in some help, because what he's doing just isn't working.

He tried to ask Erin for help with the foxtrot and it worked 'wonders'. He engaged the Salsa Champions Chris and Jackie but it didn't help at all. In fact it was easily their worst of the worst dance to date. I am sorry, my eyes hurt even THINKING about that dance!

I dunno...as much as I love Anton (bonjour), and I mean really love him in sometimes inappropriate ways...I'm beginning to feel that he's part of the problem with Kate and it's the same problem he had with Patsy Palmer.

When he's with an older lady like Lesley or Esther, he works his charm and builds their confidence to stand alongside the younger ones and usually produces lovely ballroom with them. That's his forte, and he does it well. No drama, just bumbling along. He doesn't have to teach them energetic and technically precise routines , he teaches them what they need to know to glide about in his expert arms.

But......when he gets someone younger, someone who could be quite capable, it just does.not.work. His personality just doesn't go with the competitive vibe the show has developed now, and he's not good at dealing with big or difficult personalities. Patsy had ability, but she was all 'oh crickey' about it and at times didn't take it too seriously which is Kate's problem too. Anton, lovely as he is, feeds into that rather than forces it out.

I've been imagining Kate with James or Brendan, and they just would not let her get away with having a bit of a stumble about on the dance floor regardless of ability. I know Fiona stumbled about with Brendan but pretty much by week one Brendan was *serious* with her.

Kate has no natural dance ability, but then in my opinion neither did Darren Gough and he won the whole bloody competition and why? Becuase Lilia got the basics like posture and worked on his arms and enthused the passion for each dance in him. I do feel Kate could have the same, but Anton is just not the right man to do it.

Here endeth the ramble.
