This has been the only series I never bothered to watch on tv, only ever did quick watch on links provided, not even finishing any particular dance.
For me this series has the most boring & unwatchable celebs ever.....even Brooke is dire & IMO not even a very good dancer & just lucky he got Darren Hough as partner who actually carried her all the way through. For that Brooke is the worst DWTS champion IMO. |

Actually, I thought she was very good. She and Derek produced some great routines and whilst she may not have been as polished as Kristy Yamaguchi (who had the massive advantage of being an Olympic gold medal winning figure skater), she was quite fearless with some of her moves.
It's fantastic that some like her has won - it would never happen in SCD, sadly. |

No, I mean someone who has clearly been so excellent from the beginning and has been the judges' favourite to win has actually won! In SCD, the public seem to take against the people who receive high marks and are perceived to be the pet of the judging panel. Look at the negativity surrounding Rachel at the moment.

And what negativity surrounding Rachel? She certainly hasn't been "excellent" from the beginning of the show. |

I think people only get labelled as teachers pet when the public aren't seeing what judges see, even though I didn't really like Brooke she had very little competition in terms of technical ability so it never seemed like she was being favoured since she was clearly best dancer there, sometimes though when there's several good dances you always get the impression of the judges propping up their favourite.

Surely Alesha was favourite to win last year - and did.
And what negativity surrounding Rachel? She certainly hasn't been "excellent" from the beginning of the show. The negativity I'm referring to regarding Rachel, is the idea that she was overmarked for the Foxtrot last week and, some seem to think, for the Rumba too. My point is that when the judges start to favour someone too much, the public immediately go off them. Brooke was the leader for 90% of the whole competition. Take Kristy Yamaguchi, for instance. I sincerely don't believe she would ever have won SCD. Amazing though she was, she rarely scored below a nine in the whole competition. I can't imagine the British public taking to an Olympic gold medallist competing in SCD and winning! We favour the underdog! |

I can't wait to see how Melissa does with Latin and how Tony brings her along. Shawn looks like a real contender. She is sooo tiny. Mark is about 5'8", he actually looks tall.
![]() There were some surprises - people who I thought would do really well and didn't. I like that it seems to be a fairly level playing field as opposed to some of the other series. Until we see both Latin and ballroom we won't really know. |

I have found a site that shows the entire show, not just clips on YT.
She is going to load each show right up to the final, so this might be a better option for people without Watch or who live outside the UK (and the USA). Here is the Premiere: http://copage.multiply.com/ Enjoy! |

Thanks very much for the links Force Ten.
I only watched Denise, Belinda, & Julianne (just because of who her partner is) but the rest are unknown to me hence I've no interest watching this series in full & on TV. Same as last year the zelebs they're getting seems to be less & less known internationally. But appreciate your effort FT & will rely on the video clips you provide instead for my selective viewing.

I don't care who is dancing really (unless it is Cloris!) although it is better if you know some of them, but I loved Warren last year and had never heard of him before! ![]() (*** wonders if there is something similar for American Idol ***)

There isn't an elimination this week so maybe there wasn't a Tuesday show.
I know the Results Show dance off starts next Tuesday. But from what they were saying on one of the clips above, it won't be a final decision by the judges but will be decided between a second vote from the judges added to the viewers votes - which is probably a slightly better way of doing it.
