Sorry Kaycee but in the first SCD book bought out they had the voting figures for Darren Gough/Colin Jackson during the final. Darren was ahead of Colin all the way through the final by a large margin, so the show dances made no difference to the eventual winner.
I'm also willing to bet that Tom and Camilla were ahead of Rachel and Vincent also by a pretty good margin throughout the final, as was shown by the voting by the public in the Semi-final where Tom came out top despite the judges putting him in last place.
I agree with Puffle on this and I do wish the BBC would publish the voting information.

I was excited to see what G&C will do but have to say that Freestyle was a bit of a let down to me & agree with Carrie Ann's comments.

Are there anymore links coming?

No that's it - that was the entire final (apart from tomorrow night's show, that is!). They do another dance each tomorrow night and all the other competitors come back and do a dance as well.

Spoiler

I've put my comments in spoilers in case anyone wants to wait until Friday to watch it.

Thanks force10 and DWTSSeason8. Sadly I was very underwhelmed by the freestyles this year! Agree with most of your comments Force10 - mine are below.

But don't they say the marks/votes for the first dances in the final (up to when the 3rd placed contestant is eliminated) are then dropped, and they start with a clean slate for the showdance?? I might be wrong.

(Can't for the life of me see why so many thought Darren G was so good. His ballroom was ok, but his latin was dreadful - no rhythm at all!)

Being a committed Ty fan, I bet he's breathing a big sigh of relief that he got knocked out in the semi-final. He would have been fairly okay in the Paso Doble as he was quite good in that before, but I'm not sure about the freestyle - I suppose it would have depended on how Chelsie choreographed it. Could have been interesting though!

I await the Results show tonight with great anticipation. It will be interesting to see all the participants again too and see just how bad some of them were and how far the finalists have progressed. Ty and Chelsie are doing their Lindy Hop tonight which is probably the best dance they did in the series (apart from that Tango of course - who could forget the group Tango and Bruno sniffing Ty's shirt lol.)

They don't tell us at all on the programme with the exception of this years semi final when they had to come clean at the start of the final to show that Tom had won the public vote because of all the furore about it.

No they didn't do it like that in the days of Darren G and Colin J.

Her dancing is "nice" ..... but dancers among us will understand that dancing - especially Latin - shouldn't be 'nice'!

Just thought I would add my opinions of the freestyle. Will try and manage spoiler tags, but having never done it before, they're bound to go wrong!

Oh!

At first I was desperate to stay off here completely until Friday...then I decided I'd check to see how each of them got on...now I think I'm going to view the Freestyles to see how each of them did.

EDIT: No, I've resisted.

I'm so determined to stay off here tomorrow, but I'll probably fail.

Apparently the show is two hours long and no-one has managed to post everything yet. DWTSSeason8 has said she will post the whole show but probably not all of it today. However, for those who can't wait, she has posted the last seven minutes showing the results.
Spoiler

And the winner is...

Please don't mention who has won or at least put it in spoilers for those who would rather wait until Friday night.

Enjoy!

Have now found someone (screwabc2009!) who has posted the whole show. Unfortunately everyone looks slightly fatter than they really are as his screen ratio is wrong, but at least he has posted everything! It looks slightly better if you watch in HQ and full screen.

Part 1 - Lady GaGa

Part 2 - 1st three couples dance

Part 3 - next three couples dance

Part 4 - New Pro Winner

Part 5 - two more couples dance

Part 6 - Jeffrey Ross plus Lil' Kim & Derek

Part 7 - Ty & Chelsie - Lindy Hop

Part 8 - Shawn & Mark - Cha Cha Cha

Part 9 - Melissa & Tony - Samba

Part 10 - Gilles & Cheryl - Argentine Tango

Part 11 - Lady Ga Ga

Part 12- The Results!

Thanks for watching!

I've not opened any of the spoilers re results because this time I intend to watch the whole thing on Fri.

However based on some of the comments above it looks like my favourite didn't win!!!

How on earth can you determine your favourite didn't win from the comments above?

As far as I can see no names have been mentioned and all comments about the freestyle that would indicate who did it well and who didn't have been put in spoilers.

Not having a go - I'm genuinely interested.

I just feel it.

No sense of excitement on comments made.

I'm still staying away from all other US entertainment links even though I feel it's a disappointing result...for me anyway!

I've avoided the links as well because I like to see the show on Friday nights without knowing who was eliminated or, in this case, won.

But you know, like you I have a feeling it is going to be a disappointing result - again - as with you, for me anyway.

Not surprised to hear that. They were a good looking couple.

I have seen TMZ videos of Derek hanging out with Gerard Butler in LA so not a problem for Derek being single again.

I think the ABC and TWoP boards will explode. I don't understand this at all. What does she really know about dance?

One thing I liked about Len on DWTS is that he reined the pros in when they leave basic ballroom out and go for the flash. Without someone with strong ballroom experience insisting on standard choreography how can they be objectively judged? Carrie Ann and Bruno seem to leave that behind.

Nothing against Paula personally but she has trouble constructing sentences when she is judging on Idol and seems high as a kite half the time. Idol is a completely different show and I don't think the viewing demographic really crosses over that much. I truly don't get it.
