As I recall Gerard dated Cheryl Burke briefly after Christian introduced them so I could see where he would be hanging out with the dWTS pros.

Press release for announcement Monday. I can't help but wonder who the new cast member is (or perhaps it is one of the celebrities who will be a guest on the announcement show). It also looks like Len will be back.

I see on the Twop forums Macy Gray seems to be one of the contestants. I think she is very tall so I imagine she will get Maks.

I wonder if Paula will be a judge (gulp) or a contestant. If she is dancing to quote someone on Twop "that would be be ringiest ringer that ever ringed."

I just got this off of wikipedia and I hoping is not true. They are introducing new dances.

"Four new dances will be introduced to complement the large cast. Those dances are the Bolero, Lambada, Two-Step, and the Charleston."

I don't know what to think. These are not ballroom. The Charleston would fun of course and the Texas two step is bar dance. The other two I don't know that much about.

Plus do the pros do these dances? Half the pros did not know how to do the west coast swing and we saw what happened with that. I can't picture Maks doing the two step. He haw.

It may be a trainwreck you can't look away from.

I agree with you, Buddy; the travelling is too much for Len, hence he gets so grumpy. His OH would agree with you as well, as she tried to make him leave dwts last year, but he got his arm "twisted" by the producers. But I've recently heard from a friend of mine who lives in US, who is also a friend of Len's, and have been told that Len doesn't want to do SCD anymore (possibly because of the 'changes'). He's booked for this year, but who knows for next?

I believe the bolero and lambada are part of the American Rhythm dances (as opposed to the international style danced in UK) so no objections to those being included, but Two-Step and Charleston.......? No thank you!!!

I knew that the traveling was very hard on Len and I thought it was the way DWTS was done that was driving him crazy but not SCD. I know his heart with SCD and I cannot say I blame him. The changes must be disheartening to him if he does not agree with them.

I thought the producers of DWTS were enticing him with the money and the fact that they need a true ballroom judge and convincing him to stay. Personally for a judge sitting in between Carrie Ann and Bruno it's gotta be hard. But I don't know. I can see where the Hollyweird flash of the show would get to him.

I think it would be hard for DWTS to let Len only do one of the seasons each year. It would mean it could become two different shows, and it would be really hard to compare results across the seasons.

I'm quite shocked that it would be SCD he doesn't want to do, but maybe he likes being in the USA like Lili27 says. A quarter of a million dollars a series would be hard to give up I guess if everything else is laid on for him too when he lives over there and he likes living with Bruno. I'd say SCD is harder work than DWTS for him too. I'd miss him on SCD that's for sure.

He said before that if he had to make the choice, then he would stay with scd...... But he has since admitted he doesn't like the changes that have been made, such as having a non-dancer as a judge, and his preference would be dwts.

The "likes living with Bruno" made me laugh! They don't actually 'live together' when in the US, and the only thing Len actually likes about Bruno is his cooking!

Bruno seems to enjoy his time in the US. He is a quite a celebrity and makes the rounds of the talk shows. But for Len it seems as if it is a harder adjustment and the traveling gets to him.

I enjoy Len so much on DWTS and I know it would be better for SCD for him to only do SCD but Lordy I would miss him. Sometimes he is the only voice of reason and I like it when brings the pros in line when they don't do traditional ballroom steps.

Personally if there was feasible, I would love for DWTS to get a dose of Craig even if he did a guest judge stint. It would turn the show upside down.

I thought they each had an apartment in the same small block as I saw the photos somewhere and I found this quote by Len -

“When I live in LA, I’m in the same block as Bruno,” Len told MSN. “And although we have separate apartments, we are a bit like the odd couple. He’s a marvellous cook but he can’t iron. So I do his shirts and he’ll do the cooking.”

That's virtually living together!

Different apartments is hardly living together - if it is then I must live with my next door neighbour - perish the thought!!! The cooking/ironing comment did imply that they spend all their time together, which they don't. Think an 8 hour plane flight sitting next to Bruno would be more than enough for anyone's sanity!!!

Agree - would love to see Craig judge dwts, he'd certainly pull the celebs down a peg or two!!! I like Craig though, so he can only do the Spring dwts not the autumn one!

According to Len they live next door to each other and are in and out of each other's apartments all the time and given the comments about the cooking and ironing and both of them saying it is like being husband and wife, I'd say they are a bit closer than you are to your neighbour or I am to mine! I have no doubt they each still do their own thing and will have different commitments and friends (), but it isn't exactly a normal next door neighbour arrangement!

I don't want to lose Craig from SCD and I wouldn't want him to do a double like Len and Bruno, but it would be good if someone with Craig's approach was on DWTS!

I have wondered what Kelly will be like as a contestant as she seems very self conscious about her body. I can imagine a lot of tears and bleeped out swearing to come. If she gets on with it, I think the show could be good for her though. I'm trying hard to keep and open mind.

One think I am certainly not looking forward to is her mother or father appearing on the VT rattling on about their little girl or their baby. Yuk.

I've seen the bleeper in use on VT clips, but I just wondered about the live show as I don't remember it ever happening.

Language differences has sometimes meant Len has perhaps come close to being bleeped!! The looks he gets for some of his sayings!!!

The American public is so uptight about stuff like that. I remember the bruhaha on the ABC boards when Adam C. said bitch after CarrieAnn gave him her score. Everyone assumed he was calling her a bitch and he just was responding to his score. No big deal but the mothers in the t.v. viewing audience were clutching their pearls.
