Thanks for letting me know about the 'bolero' as in the American Dance. I can't wait to see what it actually looks like”
Ah I see what you mean! I think T&D's routine is referred to as 'the Bolero' just because the music has now become so iconic rather than because therewas actual Bolero steps in the routine - if that makes sense! Wasn't T&D's Bolero their showdance?
I'm looking forward to seeing what it looks like too - according to wiki (I know!

“The first step is typically taken on the first beat, held during the second beat with two more steps falling on beats three and four. In competitive dance the music is in 4/4 time and will range between 96 to 104 bpm. This dance is quite different from the other American Rhythm dances in that it not only requires cuban motion but Rise and fall (Dance) such as found in waltz and contra body movement characteristic of tango”
So should be pretty interesting! I suppose it makes sense for them to introduce American Rhythm Latin dance if they already use the American Smooth ballroom style, although over the past two series they seem to be moving away from ballroom altgether

Haven't a clue what a 'Texas two-step' is!
Agree with consensus that Carrie-Ann is dreadful and Len is the voice of reason on that panel (shame he seems to leave that at customs when he comes back here!) his comments about Mya's routines in particular have been spot-on I think)
