Just popping in to say a huge thank you to Force Ten and everyone else who adds links to DWTS, it's fantastic for people like myself who don't have sky. I'm really enjoying the show, more than SCD to be honest. Thanks again, we need a cheering, clapping smiley here.

I agree with you Lola, I love it. I think part of the reason has to do with the tone of the judging. A lot more constructive than SCD. Celebrities do not get away with anything, their mistakes are pointed out but they are encouraged to do better next time.
Unfortunately over here it is very negative a lot of the time and to be honest, in my opinion we have one judge too many called Craig!

Len was acting up again about Mya but it looks like he has took it a bit to far this time.
I was on the ABC forums last night and they are protesting to get him of the show. Floods of complaints want him gone for being unprofessional. They all say he has got a problem with her male dancer Dimtra(Mya's partner) and he is taking it out on her. He was Contradicting himself all night. Not a great show for Len i am afraid. One of the judges asked him was he on crack.

Do you like the team dances? What that idea work for SCD or would it be a dance disarster as Craig would say.? I like the team dances because they have to help each other out. In this team dance you could clearly see the team work of the pros especially in the tango and it paid off. I like the relay dances also because they are each doing the same dance one right after the other and it is easier to compare technique and skill.

I thought Len really wore his judge's hat when he was judging the mambo competition. It is like a real competition where you have to keep your eye all the couples at the same time. I don't know they do it. Not so good for the people at home who are trusting the camera men to keep all the couples in focus.

The team dances were unfair because everyone got penalised if someone made a mistake. The mambo competition was different because everyone was judged individually.

Len is strictly Ballroom, I have to say I agree with him about Mya, there is far to much faffing she is a good dancer there is absolutely no need for all the extra stuff Dimitra puts in.

All the pro dancers know how Len feels about the 'faffing about', and he's never made any secret of it. I haven't seen this week's show yet, but if Dmitry is still getting criticised for this then he's probably made the decision that they are better off going for public votes than trying hard to impress Len, who is, after all, only one of three judges. Carrie-Anne and Bruno have much less problem with all the non-essential bits.

He's taking a risk either way - Mya is very good, but the viewing public expect much more 'wow' from the performances.

I very much doubt that Len said anything he hasn't said at least twice before - especially as he has spent much of this season recycling lines from the week before's Strictly

It's a shame that Dimitri cannot please Len but I thought Mya danced that beautifully. Mostly I agree with Len about the too much faffing about but I watched this again and loved it more the second time.

I could have done without the part where she sat on his back. If he left that out it would have been perfect for me.

I have known Len G for years and always liked him, but last Saturday on Strictly he was also well out of order when Craig said something about one couple that Len disagreed with. He started by saying he (Len) didn't like having to sit next to Craig, then he was shouting and pointing his finger, even digging his finger into Craig's arm.

As I said, I've always had a lot of time for Len, but this time he was completely out of line. I'd be surprised if BBC didn't get complaints.

It is the lack of consistency with Len that is the problem (on DWTS). He has come down hard on other pros but has not penalized the celebrities for it and given scores for the dancing that they do. When Bruno and CA give Mya 9 or 10 and Len is giving a 7 or a 5 based solely on Dimitri's choreography that he doesn't care for it is unfair to Mya.

Obviously we haven't seen this week's dwts in uk yet, but I understand what you are saying. Last Sat he gave one couple an 8 when the other 3 judges were giving 5s - may even have been a 4, I can't remember exactly.

Basically he shouldn't do the 2 shows at the same time, the travelling is too much for him at his age, and it's usually about this time that tiredness takes over and he reverts to Mr Grumpy.

To me Len thinks on the overall score for the dance ie Mya rumba (i think) was when Bruno and Carrie- Ann gave a 10 each and Len gave a 7 = 27 total or 3 nines which was still very high.

I think he gave Ricky G a 8 this weekend on Strictly for the same reason to raise his overall score

I completely agreed with Len about Mya's jitterbug and the cleaning at times Dmitry want to show how good a dancer he is instead of how good Mya is. Haven't seen the latest episode yet

I didn't like that either, but his mark seemed very harsh to me. There were a few gimmicks this week too, but not enough to warrant a 7. Some people are accusing Len of racism! I wouldn't go that far, but he definitely seems to have it in for Mya.

I agree. IMO in no way is it racial but unfortunately some are taking it that way. I reminded them that Len loved Mel B. and Laila Ali among other black celebrities on the show. I definitely don't think it is that and it saddens me to see those posts.

It is Len's irritation of messing about during the dance and Dimitri keeps doing what Len hates. This time though I feel like Len was looking at a different dance and not judging her dancing at all but judging on the choreography. Mya can only do what she is taught! I can't figure out why Len is giving her such low scores when she IS dancing. He could just chew Dimitri out for his choreography but award her score based on her dancing. I thought they danced in hold during a good part of it and Len would be happy with the dance.

I just worry for Mya if she makes into the final 3 and Len keeps scoring her low when her performance is equal to or better than the others. I do think Dimitri needs to take out all tricks, gimmicks and wasting time because Mya is incredible. She deserves her pro choreographing to her potential. He can really let loose in the freestyle but right now keep it classic.

Lili27, you're right that Len is certainly not racist. He just gets really fed up with all the faffing around rather than actual dancing. I suspect the reason for the low scores for Mya is that he doesn't see her dancing enough to be able to score it properly. I didn't actually like that Foxtrot at all. It had very little actual Foxtrot in it, hence the low mark from Len.

Len seem's to be taking a lot of stick, in America, and he can at times, be miserable. But often on DWTS, there is a lot of faffing around, and not alot of dancing, but I often think that is a culture thing!

gutted by the result personally I think the person that has been in the bottom two before should have gone
