I've not seen last night's show yet, but I'd say there are several reason and all to do with the format -
[LIST][*]The double elimination weeks with the dance offs[*]The dance off dance[*]The introduction of the Charleston and Jitterbug as these dances brought a big element of fun to the show[*]The scored group dances.[/LIST]
Also, the loss of Jade had much more impact on the show than Tom, as she was a potential winner.

Better casting. With a bit of luck their people on journeys have actually gone somewhere. That leaves an interesting gap between best but experienced and most improved rather than a complete chasm.

Better music and choreograpy and costumes to get dances with wow factor - from most people.

We have great dancers with no wow and chasers who can't run very fast and competition thats dropped by the roadside injured or has stopped running.

Their audience may also vote on other things though and its going to be interesting to see who has the fanbase. It may indicate who watches as kelly seems to have 6 times as many people following her tweets on the internet as Donny but you suspect he has the 50 and over vote on his side.

I don't think I am giving anything away here but that was a fasting moving finale show filled with ripe American cheese. It was the cheesiest...God, I loved it. The comedy bits from Jeff Ross, Adam Carolla, and Miss Piggy were priceless. I vote Miss Piggy to host alongside of Tom... err make that Thomas.

Very happy with the result but still think this series was pretty dire. I just enjoyed last series so much more.

SCD is more exciting for me this year, at least until Chris is knocked out.

Yeah, great result. Thanks to everyone for posting links and clips. All the fun and excitement that has been missing from SCD this year, our show looks so tired next to this.

Some highlights for me.

The final three were all very lacklustre for me, I don't think the right people were voted through. Mya had too much experience, Kelly and Donny just weren't that likeable to me. It was all very boring. I just hope next year is as good as last season was, with Shawn and Gilles.

Ah well, each to their own. To me, this series has been fantastic compared to Strictly.

Have to agree, I have actually been looking forward to DWTS each week, whereas with Stictly this year I could take it or leave it.

I've really enjoyed watching DWTS, thanks guys, for all your hard work, posting all the clips.

I agree that the wrong people were in the final but I though the series as a whole was great and was more entertaining than last season even though I like the final 3 more last season - I'm confusing I know!!.

Kelly never improved as much as I hoped she would, Mya was too clinical in the way she danced and Dmitry annoyed me at times and Donny was really good but had a really poor semi final though I always like him dancing on the show unlike his sister
