Anyone else think Whitney Houston has completly lost it?

She was terrible on the results show, and completly murdered I Wanna Dance with Somebody.
Glad I'm not alone on this. I was just going to post about it! Very, very strange performance. Not going to say one way or another if she had "help" to get on the stage for that second number but her facial experessions and delivery were very weird!

I much prefer DWTS to Strictly, I think Tom is an amazing host and so quick with the ad libs. For me, DWTS is more a story compared to Strictly.

One final question

Derek twitters that he is coming to London on Monday. I think he would make for a nice interview with Claudia if ITT were interested. He could talk about choreography.

Great final and i am glad Donny won. As long as Kelly didn't win i was happy. Donny could at least give Mya a fight in the dancing.
Saying that i do think the judges evened up the scores in the final because Donny was always going to win no matter what. You can understand why they did because it doesn't look good if you get hammered in the final and still win.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy said on Good Morning America after the final that Mya was the best dancer hands down.

Busy week, just catching up.

YEAH DONNY.

And thank you so much Force Ten for uploading all the clips and for brightening up my cold wet Sunday afternoons.

I have often wonder if Maks had been partnered with Mya if things would have turned out differently. Or if he had Joanna. Joanna seemed to have a lot of chemistry with Maks during that Argentine tango even more than Derek. But nothing could have beaten that paso.

I only kept up with DWTS by looking on here and at some clips on YouTube. I'm pleased that Donny won but am I mistaken in thinking that there was some discussion about Mya having an unfair advantage due to some previous dance experience?

Nothing so far has beaten Maks and Mel B's Paso for me.

And yes K&C there have been many discussions about the fact that Mya had previous dance experience.

Did anyone see Apolo Ohno in the Olympics. I think his dance training helped him! I am convinced.

- definitely. I'm sure his cha-cha training helped him get his feet moving quicker to avoid the crash! UK users can see the highlights here.

Happy enough with that choice, at least to see how she gets on(although she danced better than she interviewed) but would really have rather kept Samantha.

The DWTS dance training didn't help Louis Vito (Series 9) ... only finished fifth in the Halfpipe ... behind the 'Flying Carrot' Shaun White - who would be a great DWTS celeb.

From Lacey

From her Twitter:
"Hey twitterbugs! I will not be doing DWTS this season. But be sure to tune in! <3"
From Karina. I am trying to decipher this one after a few twitters where she is anxious about the season.

"Funny how life works in mysterious ways"
From Cheryl

CherylBurke1

Got the big call! Can't wait till next week!!!! 11 minutes ago from UberTwitter
And it seems there might be a new male pro Damian Whitewood. He is from Burn The Floor on Broadway.

Twitter is a wonderful thing. It lead me to a comment from someone asking Maks if he heard that Damian Whitewood from Burn the Floor was going to be on DWTS Season 10. With a little help from my friends, I found that Petra Murgatroyd (also of BTF) had posted on her Facebook that Damian, her boyfriend, is going to be on:

Ah shame about Lacey, i wonder who else won't be on. Why do they need a new male pro if they have to cut some?

Not wishing to be cynical but ... by bringing in new pro dancers (especially while they are 'cutting' existing pros) means the producers can keep the pros in order and fearful of - literally - stepping out of line.

Remember what 'Strictly...' did with Nicole Cutler when the UK pros 'demanded' a pay rise?

Don't know this new guy Damian Whitewood on DWTS but judging by his Facebook profile pic he is another shirtless wonder lol [I fear for Louis v. Amstel]
So, wouldn't mind betting that 'Strictly...' brings in a few new faces for the next series esp after relative success of SYTYCD over here.

You could be right, who knows

Louis is quite short i believe so he'd need a fairly short celeb. If there is a short celeb this season is there any other short pro's other than Louis?

Yeah Louis voluntarily sat out some of the early DWTS shows as there were no small partners for him. He shoulda danced with Louie Vito lol ... he's only 5 foot small.

Hope Louis does find a suitable partner as he is a great counter-balance to the rest of the peacock-strutting, alpha-males on the show. There's only so much chest baring I can stomach.

Not sure if there's any competition with other male dancers for short partners. Most seem quite tall ... Mark Ballas 'looks' like the next shortest.

LvA kinda reminds me of what Howard Dietz said when Fred Astaire danced with Cyd Charisse ...
"Cyd was several inches taller than Fred. Her long legs made her look streamlined like the Chrysler Building - Fred was more General Motors. The discrepancy was a problem, but the producers wanted Cyd and built up Fred’s ego - and his heels."
from my book 'Dancing on Astaire'

Maybe LvA just needs bigger heels!

I am sure that adding another male pro when they are cutting the number of couples is not creating very warm fuzzy feelings amongst the pros right now. The rumours had been flying and I did not start to believe them until I saw that twitter.
