Mark Ballas is only about 5'8". Last season there was a short girl for both Mark and Louis. I'm not sure how true it is, but I read a rumor that Kelly Osbourne wanted Louis (mid 30s) instead of Mark, who at 22 is closer to her age.

I think Louis is 5'6" or 5'7".

Kelly did ask for an older partner as she has just got engaged and didn't want her fiancee getting jealous.

I doubt she would have made the final three with Mark Ballas or any of the other male pros (except perhaps Derek).

Latest on DWTS 10 ... no Lacey Schwimmer or Jonathan Roberts ... but Cheryl Burke and Chelsie Hightower have confirmed.

Louis van Amstel waiting till Monday to find out - apparently waiting for his celeb to sign the DWTS contract.

Strangely - apart from Pam Anderson - no gossip at all about the other 11 celebs.

Not sure if all this 'secrecy' is good or bad?

I can't say I'm sorry about Lacey Schwimmer. Never took to her for some reason. It always seemed to be about her and not the celeb.

I agree - she did get better, but I think she did struggle to remember she was choreographing for a celeb and not a pro competition.

Lacey would have been my first choice if a female pro had to go.

Lacey is one of those pros that seems to split opinion down the middle - it's like she's the Marmite of DWTS. From my experience the younger fans love her, while oldies (like me) not so much.

As Force Ten says, the whole performance is more about "look at me me me not my celeb."
And BuddyB is spot on with her lack of experience ... which lets her partner down even more.

But it takes all sorts to make a great show ... if we had a dozen Dereks on the show how much fun would that be?

Which pro would we LEAST like to see dropped?
Kym Johson is my personal fav ... can't see DWTS dropping the reigning pro champ!

Maks! I know he's arrogant and has no patience with most of his celeb partners - apart from Mel B, but I just love that man!!!

LOL! I do like Lacey, but she does lack the experience to be a good DWTS pro.

Kim on the other hand is my favourite female pro (Chelsie is a close second), whilst Maks gets on my nerves with his prima donna act - but he is good in the DWTS exercise video!

It takes all sorts to make a good show!

On the subject of pro dancers and their partners...

One thing I do like about SYTYCD is that everyone dances with everyone else. Which would be a great wrinkle for DWTS to take on board for one week.

Though the celeb would have to be eliminated and the pro would rejoin their original partner the following week. It would certainly spice the show up mid-season.

Hopefully Anna whateverhername is - the redhead one (not the new tall blonde one) won't be back (Jonathan's wife I think) can't stand her, I don't think she's a great choreographer either.

Glad Chelsie is back - I really like her. Hope Maks will be there too

Agree with bold part she was to blame for Mark going out last season by changing his dance last minute even though I do like Jonathan.

According to an interview that Chelsie did only 4 female pros from last season will be back. - yet there are apparently 11 celebs

So if there is only 4 female pros that means there is only 1 spot not taken yet (with Chelsie & Cheryl confirming they are back and Kym being the reigning champ) between Karina, Edyta and Anna (Tall blonde one). According to this Karina is back yet she said this on twitter

Not happy about Lacey I think she brings something new to the show and was improving and only 2 season ago she was voted in the design a dance with Mark, Derek and Julianne.

Glad Chelsie is staying still can't warm to Cheryl as a dancer her choreography is very samey and as for look at me choreography look at Giles freestyle. Very that Derek is back.

There is also an apparent new male pro called Daniel Whitewood and there are rumours that its either Maksim or Karina but not both - don't know if this is true

if I had to pick a pro to go it would be Dmitry - good dancer but not a good teacher.

Funny that there is more talk about the pros and the new co-host than the celebs.

The pros are stars now and the paparrazi follows them as much as movie stars.

I'm very happy Derek and Chelsie are back as i love them. I love Lacey aswell but we can't have everything

Not keen on Cheryl but i see she is back, no word on Mark yet?

I wouldn't be that bothered if Dmitry or Edyta aren't back as not so keen on them.

DANCING with the STARS has finally fulfilled its prophecy ... we now watch D-list celebs Dancing with the real STARS (the pros).

@TonyDovolani just tweeted ...

"Good morning everyone, teaching like crazy then finally heading home to see my wife and kids before I have to be gone for three months "

Unless he is doing a film (as has been suggested) maybe he's back on DWTS10. Hmmm ??? 3 months a long time for a series of DWTS.

Not really. 10 weeks of the actual series and 3/4 weeks pre-season training. Also, some pros help in the background the whole time too.

I was just about to post that BBTN. Even if there are only 11 celebs this year, it will still last about 9 weeks plus the training beforehand.

I'm having trouble with the Twops site but Edyta twittered and said she is coming back.

Latest news I can fathom from Twitter is that so far IN are - Cheryl, Chelsie, Edyta, Derek, Tony, Mark, Louis, Damian the new guy.

8 out of 11 pros appear to be accounted for.

Kym is in LA but is reportedly home sick for Australia. Her fans are very restless at the lack of communication from her.

She did go straight from the DWTS final to Burn The Floor on Broadway (with Maks), so she must be close to total Burn Out.

I can't see her voluntarily refusing to defend her trophy. Though she could do a Camilla Dallerup and bow out at the top.

Kim is my favourite female pro along with Chelsie and I hope she does do DWTS.

PS Colin just call me Bud or Buddy!
