As far as Nicole goes, I'm torn between wanting to see her with Maks so we get some great fireworks, and not wanting her with him because she'll be going early.

The soap guy looks interesting, but I agree that Evan Lysacek has to be favourite at this point.

I hope Evan's personality comes across because I would like to see him stay on a while. I guess I have to see him dance first though. I doubt that he is very well known being on a daytime soap. With the ringer factor it is getting harder and harder for celebrities who have never danced to even have a chance against the ringers or the interest factor of the reality stars.

Evan is an ice skater so likely a ringer, Nicole has danced and so has Erin. I don't know about the others.

What date does it actually start? I need to gear myself up to getting up even earlier than usual to post the links. I just hope someone is going to post them quickly in the US. Fortunately I'm woken up at 5.00am every morning anyway by HRH (my cat) demanding to go out and frighten the dawn chorus so it won't be too hard getting up at that time.

Just because Cheryl did one bad routine doesn't mean she doesn't deserve a great pro. Remember the wonders she did with Gilles before the final. Frankly if the public had voted for the best dancer, they would've won it despite the weaker freestyle.

I still feel that she's the best female professional, and works wonders with what she's got. Same with Derek on the male side, though I'm getting sick of him getting the young performers who can follow a routine - it'stime for him to have a weaker partner again.

Oh Man not likin this line up at all and cutting back the numbers makes it worse.

Add in the fact theres no Sa Ha as co presenter and I'm gettin worried. Any confirmation who's got the job yet?

As far as Nicole's career goes she is not really taken v seriously by the great American public and the PussyCat Dolls have had their nine lives of fame, so she is looking to move up the celebrity ladder.

DWTS is a great way - and a quick way - to become a multi-level celeb in the States (just look at Melissa Rycroft - from cheerleader to TV presenter). Seems a very wise career move for Nicole since she can dance (a little) and can perform and looks good AND she has Derek (who will garner his own share of the public vote).

How Nicole comes across on camera and in training is also v impt as to how she succeeds.
