Thanks for posting the links. It's great to see the whole show, including comments and backstage chat, as well as the dancing.

Spoiler

Spoiler tags probably unnecessary but don't want to spoil it for anyone, even if it was only a song choice!

Some news reports on last night's show:
http://news.google.com/news?ned=uk&h...nG=Search+News

Not a huge number of reports this morning. Maybe it's still a bit early.

Most comprehensive review is again a piece by Sarah Kelber of The Baltimore Sun:
http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/ente...formances.html

And there's a little piece about Paula Abdul (speculation on whether she could be a DWTS contestant), and Bruno and Simon Cowell (all old chums):

I just started watching this show at week 5 and have been enjoying it, maybe a bit more than I enjoyed the UK show last time round.

I caught up with week 6 last night and just couldn't resist watching bits of week 7.

Spoiler

Thanks for taking the time to give us links for extra news snippets.

TVGasm website for DWTS recaps...Very funny and well worth the read.

http://www.tvgasm.com/shows/dancing-with-the-stars/

Apologies if common knowledge already, I've only just found it and ended up reading all the recaps from this season and last.

This turned up on Google News:

"What happens to the costumes after the show? Randall Christensen, the designer, sells the garments on his Web site. Christensen issued a press release before this season began, and it said dresses from Dancing With the Stars have become available online for purchase to dancing enthusiasts at his Web site, a trend he intends to continue. Right now, only dresses for seasons two through five are available, although many have been sold. Those from season five are priced between about $2,000 and $5,000 each".

Article:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24456940/

Randall Christensen's website is here:
http://randalldesigns.net/

There's an illustrated catalogue of dresses still available from season 5 on this (huge) page:
http://randalldesigns.net/sp-bin/spi...E=59&CATALOG=5

Would it fit? I notice that all Julianne Hough's costumes are size S, and Mel-B's are all size M/L.

It seems to me that quite a lot are "still for sale". I wonder if the ones being sold are actually copies that he's selling.

Plenty of reviews of Monday night's show here:
http://news.google.com/news?ned=uk&h...nG=Search+News

Sarah Kickler Kelber's comprehensive Baltimore Sun review is here:
http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/ente...formances.html

Sarah's reviews tend to be very objective - she describes in some detail what happened, and what the judges said, but doesn't give much in the way of personal opinion.

For something more opinionated (though possibly not for fans of Christian), try the LA Times:
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/show...g-with-th.html

DWTS was featured on an episiode of Oprah which aired in the UK last Thursday, orry I never mentioned it to you guys before but I got a bit sidetracked by other stuff (i.e. work!)

There is a website link about it here

There's a review of last night's results show (which contains the spoiler!), by Sarah Kelber of the Baltimore Sun here:
http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/ente...d_an_elim.html

Her post (without revealing the result) begins with this:

"We've got two hours of Dancing With the Stars tonight so the show can celebrate its 100th episode. The first hour features the judges' favorite dances from the first five seasons. No. 10 is Kelly Monaco's freestyle from the season one's week six. No. 9 is Sabrina Bryan's paso doble from season five. No. 8 is Emmitt Smith's cha-cha-cha from season three. No. 7 is Apolo Anton Ohno's seaon four quickstep. No. 6 is Joey Fatone's season four jive. No. 5 is Helio Castroneves' season five quickstep (in the giant yellow suit). No. 4 is Drew Lachey's freestyle from season two's finale. No. 3 is Stacy Keibler's season two samba. No. 2 is Mel B's paso doble from season five. No. 1 is Mario Lopez's tango from season three."

Sarah also reveals that it was Tom's birthday yesterday.

The TV schedule for UKTV Gold for this Friday (at least on the Sky on-screen program guide), says we've only got a 1 hour results show. I wonder if that's wrong.

Joey Fatone with Kym Johnson followed by Helio Castroneves with Julianne Hough

The pro dancers in the results show on DWTS a couple of weeks ago included someone from "So You Think You Can Dance".

According to the report below, the Australian version of DWTS may be taking the top 4 dancers from their version of "So You Think You Can Dance".

And Gordon Ramsey will not be taking part. He's too busy, and doesn't need the money or the publicity. But they were keen to try to get him....

An interesting interview article with Shirley Ballas where she talks a little about Mark, Julianne and Derek's upbringing, amongst other things. It's about 5 years old, but worth a read if you are a fan of any of the 3...

Thanks for bringing this to our attention sazziep. It seems odd to hear Derek and Julianne referred to as "these 2 US children". Makes them sound like strays or something.

I always wondered how it worked with Julianne and Derek being away from their family, living over here. All makes sense now. Shirley Ballas must be so proud the three of them have all done so well.

Early morning (their time) reviews of last night's show:
http://news.google.com/news?ned=uk&h...nG=Search+News

Sarah Kelber's definitive Baltimore Sun review:
http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/ente...formances.html

I've noticed there are always a lot more reviews as the day goes on.

I noticed this in one early post:
"The pressure is on. You could tell because Pretty Boy Jason was stumping for votes backstage like Barack Obama, lifts were banned and Len Goodman challenged the dancers to give their performances more 'welly.' I'm still not sure what that means, but it sounds good."

Len used the term "welly" in last week's show, and Tom didn't quite know how to react, and said something like "let's move on". I think that Americans don't know what welly means, and probably assume it's one of Len's frequent sexual innuendos.

For the benefit of those who don't know, it comes from "Wellington" boot. Wellington was a famous English general and Prime Minister. Here's a sort of definition of "welly":
