Yeah, cos that never happens on Strictly. Like last series.

There is never any rhyme or reason to voting, who stays and who goes. Part of the charm of both shows I guess.

Spoiler
Pam received a rough time from the voters and the judges. Her technique wasn't flawless, but some of the other contestants were very overmarked and I feel like she was undermarked at times, particularly in her Argentine Tango. Why was she in the bottom 2 so many times? I thought she would be quite popular. I think she came across very well in her VTs - she seemed sweet, and not at all arrogant. I don't get it

Spoiler
Whoever went this week it would have been hard. They definitely got rid of the right person last week and it became a proper competition. I'm sad that she's gone, but I would have been sad whoever went. Be very interesting to see who goes next week though!

Sorry, but I totally disagree. The performance you mentioned was quite poor.

Spoiler
Judging by the number of times she was in the bottom 2 it would seem that Pam wasn't popular; all that ridiculous "sex-kitten" act was enough to put a lot of people off before she even started dancing, and if someone is not liked they are not going to get the votes, never mind how they dance.

Added to that she was (as I've said before) short-changed by her pro partner. His Latin wasn't bad, but his ballroom was dreadful.

Spoiler
I don't agree. Niecy is a worse dancer than Jake. he wasn't holding back the competition from starting at all.

Well, that's your opinion which obviously wasn't echoed by the great American public.

Spoiler
I don't think she came across as a "sex kitten" at all in her VTs. People expected her to, but she really didn't do that.

Spoiler
I don't think it was that poor. Pam's "performance level" was always good, even if her technique wasn't. Other dances were very overmarked in my opinion. Niecy's jive was horrendous but she received an 18 for it. Niecy's dancing is as bad as Kate's was at times.

Spoiler
Not in the VTs so much, but certainly on the dance floor when she was in front of the judges.

Spoiler
A lot of the female celebs are like that, and Nicole is much worse in that respect. Heck, even some of the male celebs play that card. I think people took against her because of the work she has done in the past, which is rather unfair IMO.

I was commenting on one particular performance, not comparing that performance to others'.

I would hope that the judges are more concerned with the overall performance and not the 'performance level'.

Spoiler
Surely the scores are meant to be used as a means of comparing the different dances; there would be no point to them otherwise. I was just making the point that the judges have been very inconsistent in their scoring. The way a dance is acted/performed is a crucial aspect of it. Technique by itself without any performance would be dull. Some marks should be awarded for how well a dance is "performed".

You liked the routine and felt it was undermarked. I did not like the routine and felt it was slightly (by one judge) overmarked!

Let's just agree to disagree.

I was just just making a general point about the marking this series.I wasn't trying to start an argument, so sorry if it seemed like that.

Spoiler
As a dancer, the idea of an "80s" rumba is quite intriguing. And a 50s paso??? As Latin didn't really start until the 50s, that should be really interesting! Generally, what the pros were dancing then, is what intermediate dancers would dance now.

Thanks for the results I am out tomorrow and wont be able to watch this week. I am sorry about the eliminated couple myself.

Spoiler
I didnt expect to like Pam and found that I did. I wasnt keen on the slight simpering that went on during the live shows but always felt her VT's showed a down to earth hard working woman, she didnt spend half her time moaning lik Nicole.
