Weird...I edited that into my last post, but it disappeared! Well, that's the first time I've experienced the infamous disappeared post. I'm now official.

Great show this week, promises a really good series.
Watching the 2 shows this week, I realised two main reasons I find dwts superior to scd 1. the quality of dancing from the pro dancers (when they are dancing together as opposed with their celebs) - they are amazing, and their choreography always fast, fun and imaginative. 2. both pro dancers and celebs are allowed to say they are competitive without being frowned upon!!!!! [Mustn't admit to being competitive in UK - viewers don't like it!!!!!] |

It was amazing. |

It saddens me when I see posts saying that the dwts pros are not as good as the scd pros peppered throughout the message boards especially when what is really going on is they dance a different style. The scd pros are wonderful but so are the dwts pros. I see them as colleagues and not a "we are much better than them" mentality. There is so much more to being a pro on both of these shows than just winning championships and perfect technique.

That's not to say I like everything they do on dwts. For example, I thought the slapstick V.Waltz Louis devised for Margaret was just unnecessarily silly for the sake of being silly; but then the scd pros have sometimes put together ridiculous routines as well. However, that doesn't take away their talent as dancers. |

I definitely agree with both of those things. I felt so bad for Natalie last year when she was just saying what the pros on DWTS say all the time.

Interesting interview with Tom Bergeron for those who want to know more about him, his background and how he got started. At the end it veers off into Jane Seymour (I don't know why).
