Weird...I edited that into my last post, but it disappeared! Well, that's the first time I've experienced the infamous disappeared post. I'm now official.

I'm surprised. I really thought it would be a toss up between Michael Bolton and Margaret Cho.

For what it's worth, here are the final three sections of the programme from Monday night. They take too long to be uploaded so I'll stick to individual clips next week!

Part 8
Part 9

With 20/20 hind sight the result was not unexpected. It was Doherty all over again. Not enough sympathy votes. It seems the USA doesn't like the "bad" boys and girls.
I personally thought Bolton was a goner. There's always next week.
3 months of training and discipline would have been good for the Hoff. I bet his daughters were rooting for that to happen.

Sooo happy Audrina and Bristol are safe! Don't mind that Hoff went home as I have at least 6 people I really love and want to see progress but I felt a little sorry for him!

Great show this week, promises a really good series.

Watching the 2 shows this week, I realised two main reasons I find dwts superior to scd

1. the quality of dancing from the pro dancers (when they are dancing together as opposed with their celebs) - they are amazing, and their choreography always fast, fun and imaginative.

2. both pro dancers and celebs are allowed to say they are competitive without being frowned upon!!!!! [Mustn't admit to being competitive in UK - viewers don't like it!!!!!]

I definitely agree with both of those things. I felt so bad for Natalie last year when she was just saying what the pros on DWTS say all the time.

And as for the pro dances...I'm sure you saw that little scientific experiment last year with Dmitry and Edyta, how athletic and perfectly in sync they were and they aren't even partners. It was amazing.

It saddens me when I see posts saying that the dwts pros are not as good as the scd pros peppered throughout the message boards especially when what is really going on is they dance a different style. The scd pros are wonderful but so are the dwts pros. I see them as colleagues and not a "we are much better than them" mentality. There is so much more to being a pro on both of these shows than just winning championships and perfect technique.

Kaycee, you always say exactly what I'm thinking! Obviously great minds think alike!!!

I'll stick to 'lurking' and let you do all my posting for me!

I see some of the scd pros as my colleagues, so it saddens me to say I believe if the dwts pros were to meet the scd pros in a "proper" competition, the scd pros may well be found - overall - to be a tad lacking.

That's not to say I like everything they do on dwts. For example, I thought the slapstick V.Waltz Louis devised for Margaret was just unnecessarily silly for the sake of being silly; but then the scd pros have sometimes put together ridiculous routines as well. However, that doesn't take away their talent as dancers.

I agree about Natalie/ And although Dmitry is not my favourite dwts male pro, he and Edyta were fantastic.

Interesting interview with Tom Bergeron for those who want to know more about him, his background and how he got started. At the end it veers off into Jane Seymour (I don't know why).

I really want to see that jive, but it isn't on Youtube yet. I've watched Jennifer's jive - very, very good. I think it deserved a higher score.

Spoiler
Other dancers are upset with Bruno and his comments. I think Michael felt some shaming and he probably knows he is going tonight. But if you do these shows you have to prepare yourself for the judges to rip you one. I like Chelsie but I have no idea what she was thinking with that doghouse routine. Michael has too much on his plate and he doesn't look happy to be there anyway. If he does go tonight I hope he can regain some dignity with a nice going away speech and you know Tom will support him and even Len might have something nice to say. If Michael doesn't go home I don't know what to think about the voting.
