delighted Audrina and Bristol stayed! Also, quite shocked both my favourites are female contestants, this never happens.

Probably the right decision; I think the Situation's routine was too focused on the lifts than the technique, and I think more time should've been left for him to focus on the dance. I feel sorry for Bristol, she's just not coming out of her shell at all.

I notice that as SCD takes from DWTS, DWTS seems to be taking from SCD or more specifically incorporating a little bit ITT into the main show.

Tonight Len, Bruno and Carrie talked about each celeb individually and what they need to do to get better. This would probably be considered boring useless filler on SCD but since we don't have ITT it helps us to know the dancers better and what the judges think. I liked it.

You just never know what the dwts producers will do next.

Tonight is tv theme week.

Best quote of night came from Tom after Kyle and Lacey did a foxtrot from Charlie's Angels theme from the 70s show.

"Len, I thought you liked the 70s, oh no that is the 1870s."

Although I did agree with Len's comments.

Carrie Ann critiques Brandy
Len critiques Kurt
Bruno critiques Bristol
Len critiques Florence
Len critiques Rick
Carrie Ann critiques Jennifer

my curiosity is getting the best of me.. ITT?

Strictly Come Dancing It Takes Two (commonly referred to as ITT) is a programme that is shown every week night at 6.30pm for half an hour and has interviews with the dancers, the judges, plus commentary on the training footage and the previous week's choreography and a Friday Panel commenting on what's coming up on the Saturday night. A must see for fans of the show!

Thank you so much for your answer. It sounds like it would be quite the interesting watch!

Can I ask a question that I did not want to ask on the SCD board please? I read there was talk on that board that the results show on SCD had taken a turn towards what the DWTS version is somewhat. Not much elaboration has been given to what their displeasure is, but I would describe the DWTS results show to be mostly entertainment (singers/dancers), reflection on the previous evenings show, and a gradual 'countdown' if you will on the one to be voted off.

How different was the results show on SCD? Announcing of the couple voted off only takes a minute so there has to be some filler in that hour not to mention some sort of suspense. So I ask, what was different?

In the past SCS has waited until right at the end of the results show then list all the safe couples, leavinig to bottom two to have a dance off and the judges choose which couple to save. This year the results show has taken on a more DWTS feel where they announce 4 safe couples then a bit of filler, then maybe one couple announced as being in the bottom two, then maybe a pro dance, then more safe couples etc

The show only lasts for half an hour and unfortunately so far we haven't had the same calibre of musical guests that you get on DWTS (probably due to lack of money by the BBC!).

Last year the Results Show followed on after the main show on a Saturday night and so was "live". This year it's being recorded on the Saturday night for showing on a Sunday so you rather lose the tension as a lot of people already know who's going out by looking on the internet.

The difference between DWTS and SCD Results is that yours is mostly entertainment, as you said, and ours is mostly results. More interesting guests please BBC!!!

Maybe it's because, as a Brit, I have no comprehension of the cultural significance of the Brady Bunch....But....That was the worst Argentine Tango in SCD and DWTS history....

I can understand why the producers wanted Florence to dance to the Brady Bunch theme, but a tango?
Never before was the music so miss matched.

The jury was too kind for girl Palin. The jive was just awful. No redeeming qualities at all.
I hope girl Palin is gone tomorrow. She brings nothing to the show.

Great to see Michael J. Fox.
And doesn't Jamie Lee Curtis look super?

Perhaps she's not much liked by the GAP. She's seen as a ringer and the stroppy VT did not much good either.

On the other hand, it very well could be a ruse by the producers to get rid of her "certain to win" label.

Pity the hypocritcal girl Palin is still in it.
She must have the backing of the ultra conservative christians that watch the show (curtains closed of course). Her Jive was by far the worst dance of the evening.

thanks for the responses, I like the idea of a sort of dance off, but not the idea of the judges choosing the one who goes. It would seem 'less' of a peoples choice show and more of a 'what the judges want' show. that simply changes the dynamic of the entire show and the voting process (I think).

You don't necessarily have to have a comprehension of the cultural significance of the Brady Bunch to know that it was plain and simpy poorly chosen music for a tango... I'm sure many on this side of the Atlantic (or Pacific) would agree. The cultural significance is 'her' herself. Any American kid growing up in the late 60s and early 70s and onwards more than likely grew up watching the show and it has remained replaying on non prime time television sometime somewhere in some city each and every day in reruns. Thousands of us know all the episodes lol. It really is one of the top American kitsch phenomenoms. I think DWTS has a habit of pulling up one or two celebs who evoke a memory of the past and who have no real chance of winning (IMO). she may stay on for sentimental sake, but she wont win.

I just think this season is more gimmicky than the previous ones. We had acoustic week (which I still fail to see what was acoustic about it?) I liked the round stage however.. We had story telling week the week prior, this week was TV theme week and next week rock and roll week. uggh.

I dont mind some elaboration and I agree they cannot always stay in the past and not change a thing, but one can tell this season is just a bit over the top. Maybe as it's popularity grows, the producers feel a need to 'energize' it to some odd extreme.

anyway, sorry for going off topic.

Well I read a theory on one of the blogs that the jeopardy thing is because the good dancers aren't getting the votes. Not saying its true, but it does look as though there might be something in it.

It COULD also be that she is seen as a ringer as she was after all the star of one of the biggest "dance" movies of all time, and the voters want to see a "normal" celeb who is totally new to this dancing lark win it. They aren't that different to the GBP who have only ever voted through one winner with previous dance training (Jill Halfpenny) in 7 previous series - although Alesha's jigging around might be contrued as a lot of training......

It's safe to say this week's perfomances won't make it into to top 10 of the second 200 episodes.
