Can you buy blank bluray dvds?

I did a quick search on google and it seems to suggest but wanted to check.

If so, anyone know of anywhere good to buy?

And how it works - just like normal DVD where you copy from dvd-writer to the disc

It'll be a while before I opt for HD blank optical media for casual storage/archiving but it took a couple of years for both CD and DVD prices to fall to almost throw away status.

not worth it yet as they are 9.00 pounds for each blueray disk.

wait until next summer, they will come down then, and the players will be cheaper also.

remember when dvd first came out they were over grand to buy,now they are so cheap.

and if you do buy a blueray disk and muck it up,you just blown 9 pounds.

Yes, but as other have said the blanks are very expensive.

There aren't any Blu Ray recorders available in the UK yet, so you would be limited to using a Blu Ray writer drive on a suitable PC (~£250-£270) when creating your disks. You will also need Blu Ray writing compatible software to make data disks. And, if you want to make a movie disk that can be played on a Blu Ray player, you will need compatible video editing software capable of creating a Blu Ray disk.
