Notice how cheap the price is! - the price reflects the picture quality - rear projection isn't anything wonderful, it has an incredibly small viewing angle, both horizontally and vertically.

cheers guys, so rear projection tvs are the nasty ones u have to sit pretty much straight in front of or u end up with what looks like a negative pic? im not very clued up with all this tv lark. what kind of price range would i be lookin at for a decent 50"? ps at the mo i own a 42" Relisys rp42ab20(s) so basically anything better than that would do. also as i use it for skyhd and the ps3 i would like something that can recieve and display the full 1080i hd signal. any suggestions? cheers, Lee

How about the 46W3000? Not quite 50" but Sky HD & PS3 perfomance will be amazing.

I suspect you might have to spend a lot more money if you want to beat this 46".

Buying a TV by just going to the "Cheapest" website is not necessarly a good idea.
Eg. WebElectricals-where are they now?

Yes, buying from Italy, where they don't accept credit cards, so you don't have any protection for your money doesn't seem like a very good idea?. You also don't have any rights under the sale of goods act, so no right to have a faulty set replaced, or indeed speedily repaired. Sony warranties are pan-European, so there should be no problem getting a repair done, but they are under no obligation as regards speed (unlike the retailer).
