Christmas Special
GMC
13-11-2007
According to today's Dail Mail the Christmas Special this year will be another US vs UK competition.

Heather Mills may be in it and wanted to dance with her DWS partner Jonathan Roberts. She was told by the BBC that this wasn't allowed and that instead she would be dancing with Brendan.

I think if the BBC are going to do a competition like this then the DWS celebrities should be able to dance with their DWS partners. It is grossly unfair to expect them not only to dance again but also with someone they don't know and possibly who they only will be training with for a few days.

Oh, I wish I could find my post - ages and ages ago when I predicted there would be a US vs UK Special.

I hope this makes people think about who we want to represent us - Kate or Alesha. Kenny or Kelly.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO how can they put that horrible woman with Brendan. I really, really hope she doesn't do it.

Here's the article:

How can they even think about putting her in - especially with Brendan

I wouldn't worry. When has the Daily Mail got anything right so far this series?

oh faff. I just created a new thread - What would we think of Heather Mills being on Xmas special.....

and I just went back to the SCD Forum listing and see that GMC has already started this one!

oh I'm so sorry! I didn't see it before I posted mine!

I hate it when you get duplicate threads!

no competition meant - and I should be a bit quicker!

HUGE apologies to you all!

That's true. Everything they've printed so far has been incorrect

Easily done!

What does everyone think of the concept of forcing DWS people to dance with UK pros. I think it is wrong and can't see why the BBC won't let the DWS pros dance.

It was reported ages ago that Heather Mills was taking part in the Christmas special. It's been on the cards even before this series started.

I only read about it today - was DISMAYED at the very thought!

what with Len's brussel sprouts and all, last thing we need with our Christmas special is another old turkey!

(says me - being the VERY young age of 44 lol - one old turkey to another maybe lol! HM I mean, not you yenston lolololol)

You'll probably find its down to Equity rules n' regulations....

Last time they put Evander Holyfield with Karen for the Jive and Rachel Hunter with Brendan for the Rumba she was taller than him in her dancing heels!

It's unfair to expect them to dance with someone new. When your used to dancing with one partner and you haven't danced for a good few months. its much harder to just switch to a new partner.

Why with Brendan? If Kelly gets far enough surely he'd dance with her...much better with one of the male pro's who went out early...

totally agree with both of your posts she should dance with her DWS partner if not with a british male out early as Brendon and Kelly might make our final and then want to danc together on the christams special

In that case maybe this is another example of the Daily Mail rehashing an old (and untrue) story. Hopefully
