What would we feel about Heather Mills on SCD Xmas Special?

Keep her away IMO. I don't want Strictly to be tainted by outside controversy - whether I like her or not. (And it's definitely not in my case)

I would rather have contestants from this year like Mel, Sabrina or Jennie or Joey and Apollo from last year with their dance partners from America as it is not fair that they have to have to get used to another partner and would rather like to see what the dancers and judges (Arlene and Craig) here would think of them.

I think that Heather has had some unfair press (although she is her own worst enemy but constantly courting controversy) and it must be awful to be hounded by the paparazzi. I also quite admire her for the charity work and for raising the profile of people with disabilities.

However, I would rather eat broken glass than watch her on SCD. There is no way she would win a public vote and the press coverage would be horrendous! It would ruin the Christmas show which is normally such a lovely and good fun event.

BBC - please don't do it!

Me neither. And it's got nothing to do with what she may or may not have been through...there's just something about her that really grates with me!!

I think I would have to switch her off if she danced I can't standthe woman. It would be bad for our SCD and as a poster said earlier the other week MS Mills' legs were bad and she needed a wheelchair how can she be that much better to be able to put hersef through the strict regime of training and dance again so soon.
I think she should forget it and stay at home with Bea.

What a horrible thought. Especially linking her name with Brendan. Poor s*d. Had three cr*p revolting partners, now excelling with the beautiful and talented (albeit daft) Kelly. Give him a rest.

I would tell her to hop it.

As Mrs Merton would ask "So what attracted you to the multimillionaire Paul McCartney?"
But seriously, she talks about working for charities who subsequently deny any connection with her. And doing nothing but 'work for charity'for the past 20 years. So what did she live off prior to PM?

I would hate it.

Me too, and it was when she first got together with Paul McCatney, long before all this divorce malarky. Didnt trust her from what I saw and it seems I was right.

As it's the Christmas show, she might serve as a stocking-filler.

Agree. However, it is possible that now is not the right time for Heather to raise her profile. I am sure she would be a very good competitor but too many people dislike her, unfair though that may be.

I wouldn't like her on this show. I don't like the woman. Reading about her stealing from a jeweller who helped her out put me off her. I assume she has made no attempt to reimburse him. (He claimed in a Sunday tabloid that his educated guess of the amount she had probably stolen ran into many thousands more than the "official" tally).

Perhaps she could be described as malevolent? She appears to have taped various people's conversations without their knowledge. My guess is that her M.O is to engage people in conversations and pick quarrels with them (it helps if they have been drinking and their guard is down). Then are then goaded into saying horrid things about HER while she manages to keep her own conversation above the low vulgarity she teases from her victims.

I doubt there's a person on this forum who hasn't at some time said spiteful things they regret - but we haven't had the dubious honour of our outbursts being taped and liable to public broadcast. So this awful, pitiful woman is the last person I would want to see on this programme.

To what end? She knows she isn't very popular in this country - why does she persist in thrusting herself in front of us - narcisissm?

Heather Mills on SCD? We were merrily informed a few weeks ago that Heather had to turn up to court in a wheelchair as she was in such chronic pain due to a problem with her pelvis and now we are told she is fine and can do the Christmas special of SCD. How does she expect the public to believe anything she says when she makes such a fool of herself like this. She was criticised turning up in a wheelchair during the divorce hearing and was very insistant that she was in pain stating to the media she had to have an operation on her pelvis as it was damaged (a bone broken or something) but had not been able to arrange it yet etc... We did not see a walker or wheelchair when she went around the various ITV studios, BBC Studios, GMTV etc ranting about the media, did we? Personally I just wish she would go away with her millions from Paul and leave us all alone. If she wants to do charity work please go ahead but behind the scenes and give us all a break. I think it would be a big mistake for SCD to employ Heather!!

Agree with you 100%.

God forbid that she hijacks the Christmas show as a publicity vehicle.

Not overly impressed. As she would apparently be reprsenting GB against the old colonials. Apparently she wanted to dance with her DWTS partner, but it ain't allowed if she is to represent the UK.

Which creates a problem, which SCD celeb is going to get the push for the ex Lady McCartney? Will she not be at adisadvantage anyway with only having such a short time to prepare, whereas I would hope the rest of the competitors will be with their original partners, so we can enjoy at least some decent level of performance.

Is this an attempt to raise ratings for the Xmas special??!! - Sorry to be cynical!!

I think it should be a SCD special - celebrating the 5th anniversary of SCD, also of the people in front of the camera only Bruce, Tess, the 4 judges and only 4 of the pros, Anton, Camilla, Erin & Brendan have been there from the start right through to the present day - Claudia should host a special show on this AND ALL the other guest, pros etc in celebration of SCD 1 to 5.

THIS time for the Xmas show, I'd love to see all the Pros feature in a group dance, especially Karen & Brendan, who are both IMO wicked dancers.

Also personally I'm not really a fan of DWTS for SCD, prefer "our own" crew!!

Didn't Rachel Hunter and Evander Holyfield do quite badly with the audience vote when they did the US v Uk at the end of SCD3? I think it's a bad idea, people are too wrapped up in the current contestants by that stage to be interested in outsiders.

If Joey Fatone wanted to do it, I'd make an exception
But in general, there are four years' worth of previous SCD contestants to choose from, I think we can do better than Heather Mills. If they had the top three from this year, plus Darren, Jill and Mark, I'd be a happy bunny!

I love the Christmas special so i hope she's not in it.
I think it should be the top 4 from this year then Mark, Matt and Louisa (i would have said Emma too but she'll be busy with the spice girls tour).

wouldn't bother me either way as long as she can dance - let's hope we don't get Fiona Philps or Carol Vorderman
