I'm loving this...yes, the whole song/dance is real annoying but ...the rock vibe this has ismuch better than the original. |

A friend sent me a Youtube link to this recently and I really like it. Travis is a great drummer, and anyway what's wrong with Soulja Boy even without the input of the boy from Blink 182?

Soulja boy is the biggest song of the decade in America! I was over there in the summer, I swear you could walk down the street, hear it coming out of a shop window, walk into a garage it would be on in a car as you passed, playing on the radio inside the garage, and then you'd hear it coming out of half the cars on the street as you walked past. In bars and clubs we counted 6 plays in one night in one club in 4 hours!!
I've never seen anything like it, it was on at universal theme park, the coach on the way there and back, haha must have heard about 2,000 times in the two weeks we were there, and everyone knows the dance and words, my american friend was amazed that no one knew it in England, looked at me like we were backwards! Here's the original video/version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vum3qgoh0x4 (19 million views in 2 months!!) I also think it's shite and hope it doesn't have the success over here, its out on December 12th i think. ![]() How precisely does one "superman" a "ho"? exactly? (it is a bit embarrassing seeing the 8 year old kids in the video singing about Hoes) There's 37,000 videos of in on Youtube plus check out how many have re-created the video and doing there own version of the dance like these losers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pGJCkCDK5A (even that has had 16,211,648 (16 million!! and its a fan video) views!!) It really is a startling come-together of Youtube, radio ,tv , internet etc. culture all combined, you seriously do not know how big it is in the states. |
