Creative Zen V Plus Problem

Hi,

My daughter has a Creative Zen V Plus, she dropped it and the colour on the screen had faded. The next few days, the colour gradually faded and now the screen is completely black, but she can still hear music. I've rang Customer Service, and they've told me to send it in, but I can't because we've lost the reciept. It also won't reset itself.

Thanks.

I would send it in to Creative anyway because it sounds like the screen needs replacing. When my Zen Micro stopped working shortly after the warranty expired (faulty earphone socket), they asked me to send it to them.

Initially they told me that I may have to pay for the repairs (which is what I was expecting - it was out of warranty). A couple of days later, they emailed me back to say that they were replacing it free of charge.

It's worth a shot, and even the repairs could work out costing far less than buying a new player.
