Evesham TV warranties being honoured?
interpol

Does anyone have any experience of this recently? I only discovered last night that Evesham went bust in August, but were bought out and the new company are still trading under the same name.
I bought a 32" HD TV off them last Aug (06) with a 3 yr swap out warranty and just curious if they are still honouring them.
Noticed their website only seems to offer 1 yr warranties now.

Thanks for the reply puc.

Just an update.....the problem on my TV has continued and I contacted Evesham. After a 20 min queue was informed they will honour the warranty, however my TV requires a return to Evesham. I have to package it up! They seemed surprised I've not kept the massive cardboard box it came in and offered me another for £25+VAT! I politely declined.
It remains to be seen how long it takes to fix and indeed whether it is actually fixed.

If Evesham dont honour, and you bought via credit card, or any finance company, they are liable.
same for WebElectricals who are no longer trading, but have not announced any news!

You don't know how right you are mate, i had a faulty laptop (Fujitsu Siemens, build quality of an SA-80 rifle, plastic VERY cheap!) went back to Siemens and was awaiting a repair for over 5 weeks because they didnt have a part in stock, TOSH. The part seemed to turn up double quick when i told them i was claiming my money back of Visa under the consumer credit act 1974, ie 2 days later at my front there was a chap from Parceline with me laptop. I knew I should of just bought a bloody Dell and waited for it instead!!
