I am looking for a new television, and it is so difficult to cut through the advertising hype and get one that does what i want to do.

I am looking for a TV that is between 30-38 inches, and is good for watching sport. Needs to have good sound, with possible surround sound.

Good contrast (I think that is what I need) to have black blacks and good colour.

Can any of you good people assist me, I do not have a hugebank account, just want something good for my money.

D series are decent sets, but you really need to go and see what YOU think - first thing is to decide on LCD or Plasma!.
