Samsung LE37/M86 - surround sound issues

Help!

Just got the above TV from Samsung and first connected it to my V+ box with a scart lead and the surround sound speakers (10w) where v quiet.

Today have disconnected the Scart and reconfigured the V+ box to use an HDMI lead.

The volume of sound from the surround speakers has increased but I have a couple of issues - help!:

1. I can't seem to vary the volume of the surround speakers from the TV.

2. There is a noticeable delay between the TV speakers and the surround speakers.

3. And all of a sudden the volume control (from the V+ remote) no longer has any impact on the volume, although the V+ volume indicator onscreen does go up and down.

Would appreciate any advice.

Thx

where is the amp getting its sound from, the TV or V+

If your using the optical out from the TV there is an issue with Lip sync and if HDMI is connected with the sound dropping out while watching Freeview.

Just has the engineer install new software to fix this.

I have a LE40M87BDX

Not knowing V+ as HDMI is digital I would have thought the volume built in to the V+ would only affect analogue sound but not the digital level.
