I couldn't think of an appropriate place to put this, so apologies for the new thread:
So, this afternoon I was out shopping with my friend on Princes Street (Edinburgh, to set the scene). As we walked happily along, we were approached by a pair of guys, who asked us if we watched Strictly Come Dancing. We replied in the affirmative. They asked if we would mind answering some questions to the camera. Slightly surprised, we agreed.
They began innocuously enough: What do you think of the show? Who are your favourites? We spoke for a minute, making sure to put the question in the answer as instructed ("Our favourites are Alesha and Matthew", etc). Then came the real point:
What do you think of Kenny and Ola?
We ansered (honestly) that we found his dancing entertaining, that we thought he was definitely improving over time, and that he seemed like a nice guy. They then asked us to hold a sign and tell people to vote for Kenny and Ola.
Reader, we did it.
I don't know what came over us-- faced with the camera, we couldn't seem to say no, that we didn't think that people should vote for them. We just said what they told us to, and then left, feeling rather...well, ashamed.
So, ladies and gentlemen, if on Saturday's show you see two girls, one of whom is clad in a black poloneck and looking distinctly uncomfortable, inciting you to "Keep Kenny Dancing!", please, please, do not listen to them.
Thank you.
Does anyone else have a Strictly confession to make?

You don't often see people who speak for themselves on there...they don't seem to do much off the cuff anymore, very scripted imo.
