oooh when was that?

I'm seeing her soon, I booked the tickets in early October and keeping on telling myself "she'll sort it out by then" is starting not to be so believable

That was a smart move, wasn't it? Her husband's accused of a serious assault - so she threatens that he'll beat up the audience!

Like her or not, it's ridiculous to expect her to go on stage and entertain fans, with her husband in custody, and her in misery over it.

There is 'The show must go on' and then there is plain daftness. This was plain daft.

I agree her management should have pulled the show, let things settle and then see how she is.

Especially as mine are in Dublin so I've got to go island hopping and suffer a ryanair flight!

Yeh she's totally obsessed with her daft husband I'm not surprised that she didn't manage to pull it together.

As much as I love both of her albums I think she's a liability performing live. Having seen 2 of her concerts on TV she appears to be not quite with it and certainly not up to standard. Sadly I think her and her idiot husband are a pair of publicity seeking knobs hom we'll hear plenty more from.

Obviously her husband being in custody is stressing her out so I think they should pull the concerts until she's sorted out her personal problems and learnt some manners. These fans pay enormous amounts of money to go and see her and to show them disrespect like that is totally unacceptable

I feel quite sorry for her and i think her management company really should arrange for her to have some time out to sort herself out before she ends up alienating any more of her fans.

Deserves everything she gets.

I would imagine that the people at the concert must have been die-hard fans (to go in the first place) and therefore must have been very disappointed with her performance.

I'm only going off what I've heard in the media (which I accept is not all that reliable!) but she turned up an hour late, changed the words to songs to include her criminal husband, cried a lot and then walked off midway through a song.

I think I'd probably 'boo' as well!

I agree that she should probably get herself out of the limelight for a while to sort herself out - she's been on a roll of bad PR lately and needs a break.

Why doesn't she just take six months off and have a relaxing holiday out of the limelight?

I think it is a huge tragedy - for her fans of course - but mostly for her and for us Brits. Here at last we have a unique and individual artist who shows us that there is life away from the awful dull manufactured Leona's of this world. She has a great blues voice and her melodic and soulful songs bring her much respect even amongst her peers. (Elton and Prince being big fans I believe). I feel she could have been really big in the States and elsewhere - but she just seems to hit the self destruct button all the time. Its not just about Blake bringing her down (though he doesn't help). Why are such highly gifted people often so unstable and self destructive.

I'm more interested in how the police check through that monstrous beehive hairdo for drugs, seemingly they do it before she's allowed in to see her husband in prison. Do they scan her head with one of those machines they have at airports, or do they just dive right on in?

Ewwww!

Seriously though, I think she is a very talented singer, but she needs to sort herself out. Maybe Elton can help her; he's been through a drugs hell and I've heard he can be very generous helping fellow artistes with their problems.

There's a bit of video at the Sun's website:

There is a rumour she may be appearing in Britneys new video, since the song 'Piece Of Me' applies to them both right now, I doubt it though, would be funny if nothing else.

I was there Wednesday night at the NIA. It was a joke.

Firstly, she didn't come on stage till 9:50, which given the support artist, Remi Nicole (who was very good) finished around 8:30 it was one hell of a wait fuelling speculation that it was going to be a no-show. Would have been better if she hadn't shown.

The sound was bad from the start. She dropped her microphone a couple of times before she disappeared off stage at the midway point. When she came back on, she had obviously taken copious amounts of something as she was staggering about all over the stage. Her performance from then on just got worse and worse.

She slipped when trying to pick up her guitar, and could barely stand let alone dance. She kept dropping her mike and creating loads of feedback which seemed so amateurish.

After the one song, that's when the booing started as she only sung about half the lyrics.

She then said "To all those who are booing, you are a bunch of monkey c*nts for buying a ticket." Very classy Then followed that with "Just you wait till my husband gets out of incarceration. And I mean that" What's he gonna do? Beat every one up and then bung us all £200 000 to clear off to Spain (allegedly)

Rehab was just a joke. She croaked her way through the lyrics she could actually be bothered to sing, which bought on more boos.

People were leaving in droves, empty seats everywhere.

When she finished there was a mass exodus for the doors, and the lights in the bar area (I was down in the standing part) went on. Then she came on for an encore. Even the security staff started laughing at the fact she came back on, but there were that many people leaving they didn't bother to shut the doors.

I didn't stay for the encore, I had had enough by then, but I think it is well documented about her leaving the stage half way through Valerie.

It was a really poor night. If I wanted to see someone legless and singing out of tune, I could have gone to any Karaoke bar and got the same for nothing.

Having seen her performance at Glastonbury (?) on tele earlier this year, I expected a whole lot more.

Such a waste of talent. I feel sorry for anyone who has tickets for the Glasgow gigs this weekend. Hope she has sobered up for you.

Surely it is touring which makes the money for the artists, so she is in effect killing the goose which lays the golden egg.
