My Grandaughter has moved to a new house & had a Sky
box fitted, she now wants her DVD player & VCR set up.
At present her SKY is scarted to her wall mounted TV.

Any advice on where the scart leads & aerial should go & the best order they should be in welcome ,as I have been lumbered with the job
Thanks

easiest way is to take a scart from each device to telly

aerial lead to sky then from rf 1 out to telly

is it a dvd recorder?

But the telly may not have 3 scarts - mine only has 2.

With a PVR substituted for the Sky+ box, I have

Aerial -> PVR ->VCR -> TV

Scart1 : PVR -> TV Ext1

Scart2 : DVD Player -> TV Ext2

Scart3 : PVR <-> VCR using the bi-directional scarts at each end

It does mean the TV doesn't automatically switch to playing a tape, but it autoswitches to play a DVD or to the PVR instead.

I would suggest that the vcr (Composit only anyway!) be connected via a scart to three lead composit (Video,stereo left,stereo right) cable. This is based on the idea the vcr has two scarts!? but alot of screens have this input at the side, leading to ugly hanging cables from the side of the unit.

There's no reason to run the aerial lead to the Sky box.
The only time you need to do this is if you want to feed the Sky RF out and aerial loop-through to a TV in another room.

Sky VCR scart ---> VCR
Sky TV scart ---> TV AV1
DVD ---> TV AV2

Ext RF aerial ---> VCR RF in
VCR RF out ---> TV RF in
