This isn't to debate her dancing, or whether she should still be in the competition ........
It's what it says on the tin.
Poor girl would be expecting censure for her dancing, but some of the other criticism must hurt.
Big hug!

Here here.... the worst this poor girl has done is raise loads of money for children in need.

Wouldn't life be boring if everyone was perfect?

I do watch Kate from behind a cushion but I can't say that I would be able to do any better, even with 8 weeks of intensive training from Anton.

All the best to you, Kate and Anton. Can't imagine how people will react to you if you are voted through yet again this Saturday and another (better) dancer booted out forcibly by the judges. Will dread to imagine how you'll suffer if you stay long enough to do TWO dances seeing you are struggling with one already.

*hugs*

SCD1 Final from 8 celebs:
Natasha and Brendan ---- average mark 33
Chris Parker and Hanna -- average mark 20.

SCD2 Final from 10 celebs:
Jill and Darren --------- average mark 33
Denise and Ian -------- average mark 33
Julian Clary and Erin--- average mark 24

SCD3 Final from 12 celebs:
Darren Gough & Lilia -- average mark 31
Colin Jackson & Erin --- average mark 34
Zoe Ball & Ian ---------- average mark 35

SCD4 Final from 14 celebs:
Mark and Karen -------- average mark 32
Matt Dawson & Lilia --- average mark 29

SCD5 leaderboard at halfway, from 14 celebs:
Alesha and Matt ------- average mark 34
Kelly and Brendan ----- average mark 33
Matt D'A and Flavia ---- average mark 30
Gethin and Camilla ---- average mark 29

After SCD1's jokey start, standards have risen steeply culminating in a vintage SCD5. The historical patterns of SCD1 no longer apply.

There is plenty of past precedent for phone voters plumping for companionable celebs in the early rounds, but approaching the Final there is no past evidence of public voting for favourite celebs regardless of dance merit.

There is no suggestion that supporters of Kenny and Kate will either intend or succeed in voting them into the Final. Jokes apart, it is doubtful if K&K would even want to dance side by side against the outstanding Alesha and Kelly. No doubt K&K will be dropping a public hint to ease anxieties in certain individuals.

Quite right!

Wouldn't life be boring if everyone was perfect?
Well, nobody's perfect but some are just better suited to this dancing malarky than others. I would hope that the Cult of Garraway would be able to appreciate that. It's about time they considered maybe switching allegiances to support someone more deserving and spare the dignity and blushes of Ms Garraway by bringing her run to an end.

*Saving well deserved hugs for her and poor, poor Anton (his arms must really be hurting from having dragged her around the dance floor for all these weeks) until that happens.*

I think she should get a special hug just for getthing through her first week with her poor injured legs. I admire her 'have a go' attitude. I couldn't go through what she's had to face all through this show. And its not that she's deluded and thinks she's a great dancer (Carol Voderman anyone??). And I think Arlene was way out of line lumping Kate in with Fiona Philips who was so defeatist she couldn't even hold it together long enough to walk out on to the floor never mind do the dance (grrrr she used to drive me insane ). Sorry, back to Kate, I like her a lot more now after seeing her on SCD its just unfortunate that from now on she's a threat to at least 5 other really good dancers. I still don't think there's any call to be rude to the poor girl .

So what if shes a threat , it just shows being leggy or going to stage school etc etc doesnt always work nor does being in Eastenders mean you are a heart throb. The public like her and love Anton and its their show they pay the license fee

The people have spoken.

Kate wouldnt be there if she wasnt getting more votes than anyone. You can cheer or moan but you cant deny the basic facts. Kate and Anton get more votes than anyone else on the program. Ergo they have raised more money then anyone else.

Kate will go when people dont vote for her. And not until then.

It's not just her terrible dancing that is annoying most people it's her begging and pleading for votes and the fact that GMTV were campaigning for her.
This is resulting in more worthy people who don't have the advantage of GMTV backup to be voted out.
Can you imagine an election campaign where only one party was allowed to advertise for votes on TV???????
It stinks.

this isn't an election campaign. its just a saturday night entertainment show. so what if she asks for votes. she isn't forcing anyone to vote for her.

And Blue Peter isn't campaigning for Gethin?

They didn't wheel out Graham Taylor, Rod Stewart or Billy Zane to give John, Penny or Kelly exposure?

Kenny isn't exploiting the Scottish connection?

They're all using every contact they have to appeal to as many people as possible. Why? because It's for charity and the more votes, the more money raised.

This GMTV/kate garroway conspiracy theory is getting plain daft now!

I don't think they're begging to stay in solely for charity - I think exposure and competitiveness and personal pride must come into it as well - most zelebs aren't altruistic.

No, you're right. But the result is the same, is it not?

Yep, I've got a sneaky feeling that either the Kate or Kenny train will crash out tomorrow.
