Which LCD TV for £900?

I am new to LCD TVs but I've got £900 to buy a new 40" LCD TV.

Which ones should I look at considering for that pricerange?

I have looked at the Sony Bravia KDL 40x3000 where x is W, D, V or S but I don't know what the difference is between the different models.

Should I look into Pioneer and Panasonic and if so which models?

I maybe able to stretch to £1000 if need be.

There are only two on the market worth looking at:

Samsung LE40M87 (variation of the same model) or the
Sony KDL-40W2000

Both are 1080p and are 40". Comparisons here: http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/2007/...vs-kdl40w2000/

You can get them for under £900 if you shop around.

Panasonic PX70 and the 7th Gen Pioneer range could be looked at.

For me it would be a Panasonix PX70 @42" for that price range.
