DVD drive pioneer 433h

Hi all
does any one know a good source of spares (reasonably priced) for pioneer dvrs? as it looks like the dvd drive in mine has gone up the swanny

part is DVR-R09-XP

Is it like a standard one used in PC ? If it is, then you can buy it from any PC shops. You may take the part with you. From the number (A09), it looks as standard drive.

I believe I read somewhere that the software in the system may prevent a simple swap of the DVD drive, and could need modification with a special pioneer-supplied disc for the new hardware to work
