I must admit, it made me smile to see all 5 of them performing a classic. A shame they didn't sing live.

I think Vicki Beckham should be given a new nickname - Poser Spice. With the trout pout and the drama queen posing, she looked just silly imo.

Fair play to the others, they still have good voices and I agree Mel C is still the best of them.

Oh, don't be so silly. The Spice girls are great only as a complete unit. Without posh they would be like the Beatles without Ringo.

They were great on Children in Need, because of them I will donate and probably buy their Greatest Hits.

They didn't need the publicity but did it anyway. I have a lot of respect because of that.

And then there was Jordan and Pete last year, who still deny it was her singing.

They were miming as their voices sounded about ten years younger than them.

You hear the likes of Westlife singing live on the same show and bloody well, then look at the Spice Girls unable or unwilling to do the same and you think to yourself, yes, they are and they were a load of hyped-up rubbish.

Yes, they were.

Westlife etc. may well mime to their songs at certain times, but they prove on a regular basis that they can also sing equally as well live.

Being honest, I've rationed my Spice Girls viewing experiences to a mimimum, but whenever I have had the misfortune to see them peforming on TV, they have always appeared to be lip-synching.

Perhaps they sing live at their concerts? Or do they mime at those as well?

I can believe it. They're hardly going to embarrass themselves on their big comeback.

Well lots mime anyway. At least the Spice Girls have never pretended to sing live like a certain Ms Kylie & Ms Madonna does.

Yes, I suppose it doesn't really matter anymore whether they can sing live or just move their upper lips and no more. As long as some sort of noise comes out the telly is what counts.

The Spice Girls have made enough money out doing the latter on TV at least and their fans don't really seem overly bothered that they do. I suppose the general public in general justs wants to see their musical acts moving about in a seductive manner and plastered in make-up, rather than simply plastered.

So they mimed who cares?

I'd rather we had a great perfomance I mean, God look at the Sugarbabes! can't sing live, out of key or what.

Is that the same Kylie who, erm, sang live?

I did enjoy the visual performance of Stop, however. I kinda wanted Melanie C to do her bits live, though, just to make the others look silly.

Lol love the last bit.

Artists are either renowned for being a great singer, or entertainer rarely both.. In the day the Spice Girls didn't need to rely on singing live they had Everything else. I doubt anyone will ever match up to their success just watching those Brit performances makes you realise it's the very cleverly thought out package.

5 piece girl band (boys & girls appeal even the dads!)
5 different characters
very energetic/spontaneous
camp (gay audience)
very catchy songs
1 lead vocalist
1 lead bandmate
fashion trend setters
