Why not do it as early as possible? Then half an hour later if the lines are all still open. Seems a bit daft waiting till 11 if the line has closed well before that.

Ah, got you. I'm guessing that they're having to do it because of these phone scam complaints that have gone on because if someone is voting for a person that has gone out then they might stir up the fiasco again. Although in their defence they do say that the phone lines close at 9 nd then they say on the Sunday night that the phone lines are now open?

Good to see that my 12 years military training haven't gone to waste although I am actually starting to pee my pants now because there are so many people hanging onto my plan that if it doesn't work I will be mortified and will have to go into hiding along with Osama and I think that I may end up about as popular as him.

I so just want to ring up now and start finding out but I know that it is WAY TOO EARLY and just have to be patient. Unfortunately that is one virtue I am not blessed with!!!!!!!

You'll still be charged.

IMO if you phone before about 11 p.m. you may be wasting time (and money) as they may well just tell you that you've voted for A/B but it will notcount.

After 11 - if you hit the one who has been ousted - you may well get the "no longer in the contest" message.

I may of course be totally wrong, but just thought it worth a mention.

Well if I lived near to TV centre I`d wait outside and just ask a member of the audience as they left.Fortunately I live in a house called Swn-y-Mor (Sound Of The Sea......In Welsh) in the beautiful hamlet of Rhoscolyn on Anglesey......and trust me when the wind blows(like tonight) you really can hear the roar of the sea.

Anyone live near the TV centre? Lovely image of DS forumites in raincoats, dark glasses and hiding behind newspapers listening to the chat as the terribly VIPs leave.

This reminds me of the 'Nobody Should Leave' thread! I think about reviving that thread all the time! Hate anyone leaving! Didn't we post forumites outside the BBC centre each week to stop the couples leaving?
