Given that 4 couples have been awarded 6 points or more already and Gethin who is probably getting the most public votes has 4 (which I feel was totally undermarked) this is going to make it INCREDIBLY difficult for the public to save BOTH Kate and Kenny, ensuring one goes.

but surely if that was the case they would have given John a higher mark?
He has been in the bottom 2 twice so really they should have given him straight 9s if they wanted a kenny V Kate showdown,.

It doesn't really matter where John finished, but they made sure he was higher than Kate and Kenny at least... he hasn't been getting the public votes (it seems) so in a sense it's probably a better idea to keep him down the bottom to keep the better ones up the top (if that makes sense).

Let us hope the tactical voting bring the right results, it is shameful, that Gabby and Penny are out while no hopers like Kate, Kenny and John are still there.

I agree. Sometimes I cannot fathom the judges. Their marks and comments just do not match.

My theory is always the same as Dancing on Ice, whoever has agreed to do the tour, the judges are made to love.

IE The tour sells better if the 'stars' are appearing in it.

Saturn - funny FMs were discussing this very thing last week (?) what would happen if there was a big difference between the top couples and the bottom ones.

John is in the vunerable midway position therefore could land in the bottom two but unless there is a better dancer is very unlikely to be voted off by the judges if the other was either Kate or Kenny

I don't understand this at all. Would someone please explain.

Also if the judges were voting tactically to get Kate and Kenny in the bottom two - why did Len give them 7s?

Firstly Len gives everybody at least 7 unless they drop dead half way through the routine and then its a 6 for trying

Secondly

They have seen that the demographics of who votes tends to favour the alpha males, hence what has screwed Gabby and Penny

I haven't been on DS tonight so haven't seen any comments. I'd be really shocked if John wasn't bottom 2 as he won't get more votes than Gethin (surely ) and would have to go some to catch the rest. We've already seen he isn't more popular than Kate or Kenny so will more than likely be overtaken.

Matt has the bounce back vote plus the pimp slot in his favour, the only real possibility is John and Letitia to avoid Kate or Kenny being bumped off but I think she's well liked

Forgive me for being a thicko but I dont understand your reasoning. The judges mark Kate and Kenny low every week so why is it different this week?

It doesn't matter what they score them as long as that score is lower than what John gets!

I disagree, I think the marks were about right (apart from Craig's). Technically he's very good in fact one of the best if not the best. He only has to work on the performance side which is harder especially for someone who hasn't had any training unlike Alesha, Matt, Letita and Kelly.

Absolutely agree, the judges have made a concerted attempt to rid themselves of either Kate or Kenny this week. Be interesting to see which has the greater share of the public vote and isn't in the dance off. If neither is in the dance off then they must be coming 1 and 2 with the public vote !

Okay. Basically they've made it very hard for Kate and Kenny to both end up in the bottom 2.

As it is they've marked down wonderboy Gethin (imo) and deliberately tied Letitia and Matt so as to put them in the relative safety of having 6 points.

If we take that Gethin gets the most votes (i'd be very shocked if this isn't true) then the maximum Kate and Kenny can get is 8 if Kate finishes 2nd and Kenny 3rd. John i'm assuming is a bottom 2 cert. The only way BOTH Kenny and Kate can avoid the bottom 2 is therefore if one of Letitia, Matt or Kelly finish dead last in the case of Kelly or bottom 2 in the case of the other 2. Which is a long shot!
