Another great show....what a fine sounding set of players.
I see that Mr. Ncorners has managed to smirk his way back into Maestro Arch's moment of glory. Did he bribe a cameraman,I ask?
It was interesting to see another orchestra on TV the other night on Children In Need. I wondered if it was the same band but certain things were different.
The conductor wore a sparkly red jacket and, whilst not exuding the same raffish charm as Maestro Arch, he nevertherless trumped him on the dresscode. Perhaps the jacket is for general use at the BBC. If so, lets upstage Mr.Ncorners selfenforced moment of glory with a bit of Liberace couture on young David.
I think that the Strictly boys generally look very friendly.
On Children In Need I recognised one of my favourite musicians from the BBC Big Band (me and Mr.Schoop have frequented their Fairfield Hall concerts for many years and are Big Band Nuts).....Andrew Vinter.
Now he's a decent and charming fellow. But WHO was that scary looking brute sat next to him playing all those organs?
Nice to hear Arlene mention Tommy Blazer.
