I always thought Anton was the best teacher....I'm beginning to doubt it.

I am not an Anton-hater people - I think he is possibly the nicest teacher to his pupil of them all.

However, Jan Ravens, Patsy Palmer and Kate have all been told that they struggle when they're out of hold (i.e. latin) and Anton isn't a great Latin dancer as I'm sure he'll admit himself.

I think he's an amazing ballroom teacher - but Lilia, for example, as a Latin dancer has showed time and time again that she can teach both - whereas all of Anton's partners have been told they can't do out of hold stuff.

I wonder whether Anton isn't very good at teaching the Latin at all...?

I thought it was - Those that can, do. Those that can't, teach.

Anton just seemed to drag her round like a sack of spuds, if that makes him the best teacher then I'm confused too.

Granted I am a huge Anton fan, but I do think that he did a great job as a teacher this year and that he didn't get enough credit for his efforts.

If it had been me recieving a mauling every week from the judges, I would find it very hard to be at all enthusiastic about going out and performing again, and I would have thought that Kate would probably feel the same.

Therefore, I think that Anton deserves credit for being able to build Kate up and give her the confidence to go out and do anything at all!

He must have had such a hard job these last few weeks, I mean really hard, to try and enstill any belief into the poor woman.

Just shows how much he cares about the dancing and his partners and what a true gentleman he is

That's my thoughts anyway, bash me all you want, I no longer care...

I don't think its about bashing you! I quite like Anton - although I have gone off him a bit this season. However, his great power is in building up his partner.

I thought his comment tonight 'Your just as good as anyone else out there' (I'm parraphrasing) was delusional and I really hope he doesn't seriously think that. However, he is ultra supportive and I think thats a great bonus.

However, I don't think he's a great latin teacher - at the ballroom he excels - however, many of the other dancers in the comp can teach both and I think that goes over looked.

Anton uses his big personality to cover up his latin dancing and his partners have series after series been told that they are unconfident and fumbling out of hold. As a ballroom dancer your partner is usually in hold and therefore I think Anton seems to do that best.

The whole 'bad boy' image that several people on the show have mentioned, and we've seen, I think is unfortunate as I think it looks a little bit (just a tad!) diva like - and I hope that next season he gets someone better then Kate!

I would have thought the pros looking after Kelly, Alesha and Letiitia were all doing a better job. They each pose problems to overcome and their teachers are actually teaching them how to excel - the students even seem happy there too.

It makes me wonder if Kate had been put with another partner whether anybody else could have achieved better results...or whether she just really can't dance!

I felt as though there was a moment of revelation that was missing...like when Matt Dawson had his acting lesson last year. Although I'm no expert and not a teacher but..... I felt like I wanted to take Kate put her in a room with some music on and tell her to close her eyes and dance to try and get her to lose her inhibitions...

He's one of the most supportive professionals - he's very positive, very protective, and always defends his partner from criticism.

But I can't see the evidence that he's the best teacher - frankly, Kate didn't improve much over the 2 months he had to teach her. Yes, sure, some of that was down to her, but as her teacher he must take some responsibility for her performance, surely?

Last year, James Jordan was famously nasty to Georgina Bouzova - but it got results, at least to a point; her dancing clearly improved in leaps and bounds.

Ultimately, yes, it all depends on how you define a "good teacher" - satisfaction or results?
