Necks

I feel sorry for dancers who have little or no neck.

John Barnes is a handsome man, make no mistake, and I thought he danced pretty well,. However, having a short neck is his undoing as it makes him look all hunched up and so he gets slated for his posture (or lack of it).

The same thing happened to Letitia; if you notice since she has lost a little bit of weight her neck seems longer and so she is looking a lot better and not slated as much as before with regard to her posture.

Just wanted to see what others thought.

Letitia's costumes have improved too - that may have helped, although she has undoubtedly lost weight and is looking good.

As my husband said 'The man they could not hang'...

Agree John seems to have a short neck but what can be achieved through correct posture is beautifully demonstrated by Leticia's transformation.

When I was young, I would have listed my neck as one of my favourite features but with age it totally disappeared. I've being doing pilates and ballroom dancing for around 9 months and have being working on my posture.
One of the most obvious benefits has been the return of my neck on flexible shoulders. The proof is that I've returned to the height of my youth - honest, I've re-grown 2 inches.

Dominic was similarly afflicted.

John's posture is his weakness - as he said he spent years bent over shielding the ball - it's clearly difficult to correct.

Well done to Letitia she has improved beyond belief, although I don't think it was ever as bad as John's. Her shoulders were back, she just couldn't keep them down.
