Indoor digital TV aerial?
Hi all,
I'm thinking of getting a 15" integrated freeview TV for my bedroom. Only problem is that there's no external aerial socket in the bedroom. Is it possible to buy an indoor aerial which is capable of picking up the freeview signal? FYI I live in Bristol and there's a very strong freeview signal on the external aerial in my living room. Thanks in advance. |

I've just bought a STB for my telly in the kitchen and had to buy a booster aerial to pick up the signals...... it's not working too well atm - but I think it could be due to my portable telly being v v old......and not ready for all this modern malarky - and I really haven't got a suitable permanent surface to place the aerial one - it gets in the way of everything when making the meals!! ![]() having moaned about it though, hubster has just said he will buy me a nice new 15" flat screen as a replacement ![]() way to go!!! ![]() ![]() but check out booster aerials - I have got a One for All - the analogue reception is ace - but it's a bit pants when I plug it into the STB and connect it to the telly

ok thanks very much, weedledeedle.. In my mind, this is one of the problems of the digital switchover - if you want to have a small digital tv in the bedroom, you still need an external aerial socket to pick up a strong enough signal. Unfortunately, I'm in a rented flat at the mo, so getting an aerial socket installed is not really an option...

I did think of that, but it just wouldn't work with the layout of my flat - i would end up with a massive cable trailing from room to room... Thanks for the suggestion anyway

Try a Tesco indoor aerial,£4.95.I use one with success in the kitchen. It does need moving around a bit to get some of the channels.

I have seen an indoor aerial by One for All on QVC and the beauty of it, if it doesn't work, you can put it back.
It is supposed to enhance your signal and pick up digital channels. It is nice and flat so you can put it on the wall or even behind a picture. Hope this helps.

Have had a look at the QVC website and the item no is 420215 and the price is £15 plus £3.95 p&p. It is called the One for All Ultra Flat Indoor Aerial Amplifier.
Would be interesting to know if it works as I would get one when I eventually put an LCD in my bedroom. |

Always found the one for all aeriels C$$p
I bought this for the bedroom LCD for freeview and works very well get all channels now before i could only get about half . http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...OR+AERIAL+.htm You can use it withough the booster but it really does help- but booster doesn have to be plugged into mains though. Theres a group test on indoor digital aeriels and this was one of the best. |
