Hello

Loved the Joseph series but haven't kept up with the forum. Have other Josephs secured work in the theatre etc from their appearances on the show? Louis and Craig seemed favourites of ALW - just wondering if they or any of the others had done well after the show.

Thanks

Keith - narrator in Bill Kenwright's touring show
Craig - Joseph in same
Chris Barton - Benjamin in same, with 2 matinees as Joseph and 2 matinees as narrator. Also Wayne Smith from Grease is Pharaoh. All 4 are superb, especially Keith!

Ben - Did a short tour of Dirty Dancing concert and is now Link Larkin in WE hairspray

Daniel - finished in 'I love you because' and about to be in 'Avenue Q' in WE.

I believe Rob is in Panto in Rotherham.

Lewis is touring in a show called Chicago and Beyond with some other people, doing songs from the shows. Zoe was supposed to be in it but pulled out. He is doing West End Joseph when Lee is on Holiday. Lee has just extended run at the Adelphi until October 2008.

There is a TV show with about 5 or 6 top Joes and Marias at Christmas, and also a special one about His Leeness.

Lee's album is out today, single on 3rd Dec. Keith has a christmas single coming out and an album in the new year.
Craig has an album coming out too.

Just a little to add to redvelvet...

Rob will be in Panto in Sheffield (Cinderella)

Chris C and Johndeep are doing Panto in Windsor (Cinderella)

Seamus is still with his band, mosquito (I think)

Antony did a one night "audience with..." in Oxford, apparently with guests Zoe Tyler, Chris C and Johndeep.

And of course Denise is in WE Rent, John Barrowman has just released his album and will be in Panto in B'ham and Louis is doing X Factor

Thanks both for the replies....I't seems a few have done well.....no doubt you can single out the ones who are doing Bill K's shows and the others doing panto.

Seamus burnt his bridges and acted like a spoilt overgrown brat...so I'm not surprised that Bill K didn't give him a job.

I thought ALW liked Lewis and Craig so good that they have been rewarded.

actually in terms of success at carving a real career in MT I would say Daniel and Ben have done probably the best at breaking away from the ADWD connections (interesting they now share the same agent as John Barrowman) . Daniel has a leading role coming up in a major west end musical (so much for ALW!) and Ben has a lead in the Original London Cast of Hairspray (that is a big deal in the theatre world) which seems to be the big new musical in London - both have jobs in the West End that they seem to have got through the regular audition process (although I'm sure their public profile on ADWD will have helped get them the audition).

BTW Chris Crosby is in the tour of "Half a Sixpence" as well (I think that's another BK production - he certainly got his money's worth )

Or maybe he didn't want a BK role

I wouldn't use their jobs as meansure of success necessarily anyway. To me success is more about doing what you want to be. Whether thats Panto, MT, having a music career... Of course in each path you can measure success.. No. 1 single vs No.100. Or off off broadway vs. broadway. Though even then luck, opportunity and other things come into play too. Just look at Lee & Daniel - both West End stars now, in their mid/late 20s, maybe always good enough but just never the right breaks? Who knows...

Just to add on this - compare all of the Joe's success to the X Factor. Even the winner here seems to have one album and then disappear.

Oh and Antony has a place to study MT at Mountview and as he is only 17 with talent. i think he maybe one to watch in the future.

actually to add to this - if anybody can make a living by performing I would count them as successful. Most people don't.

BTW friend of mine has been in the business 20+ years - never has had or will have his name in lights BUT never out of work, he's doing what he loves and I would judge him as successful.

Daniel is to play the part of Princeton and Rod in Avenue Q, a part that he has always wanted to do. It's a fantastic show.

Well Anthony turned on our Christmas Lights. I didn't go though but I notice in the paper it thanked some stage school for letting him attend.

Craigs album is out on 7th Jan 2008

It's an album of favourites with a few from the show, featuring some of the Josephs as well. Lewis, Chris B, Chris C and Antony perform with Craig on the group songs and he duets with Jondeep and Seamus

Like to wish great success to Daniel tonight

Hi!
What happened to the really young lad, 17ish? He murdered Patience by Take That on ADWD but otherwise he had a great voice, is he doing well now? Thanx!

Anthony, he did have a lovely voice totally not suited to Patience, but TBH I thought most of the song choices in the show were awfull
Anthony is at a drama School in London now( I think) and hes also on a CD coming out in January with Craig, Chris B, Lewis and Chris C.
