I hear that Vestel have signed up to Teletext Extra, which is said to be an appaling mess by most posters here.

My fear is that, when the Freeview Playback firmware we are all waiting for eventually comes out, with all its bug corrections and crash resistant lovelyness, it'll have that Teletext Extra tripe crammed in to it as well.

Anyone have a clue as to our chances of getting an update in before it goes all Teletext Extra, forcing us sensible types to avoid the download?

I am usually very patient with these things, but if Vestel don't hurry up and get the fixed firmware out then our boxes will all either be cobbled by Teletext Extra or we won't get an update.

Come on Vestel! You're running against the clock now! Pull your finger out!

Probably about as much chance as their currently is of getting a update for these boxes.
