There's not many shows/places for singers to 'air' their songs now, and I feel that maybe a good show is needed, maybe something similar to Top of thePops

I would really love a good show without all the dross and rubbish from the (smart alec) presenters Just good old-fashioned LIVE (compulsary) music/singers (and not all the same old faces that are 'in fashion' or played to death on the radio) at about 8pm a couple of times a week preferably for an hour

What do you think?

You mean a music show that DOESN'T have the words 'Simon' and 'Cowell' anywhere in the credits?

No chance!

Just move Later...With Jools Holland forward. He may be very annoying but he has some good acts on. I like the format too. Much better than TOTP ever was.

So would it be 'Later With Jools Holland Earlier' or 'Earlier With Jools Holland'.

Agreed though. He's someone who knows a thing about music and he always gives the impression he's really in it for music's sake and not just a big fat fee. A dying breed.

Yes, you're right about The Jules Holland Show, but I feel that we need other music shows as well as that

yup - there's always Jools.

channel four did that abbey road series a while ago that was pretty decent - could do with some more.

although i think virgin are doing something similar soon for virgin 1.

and i caught a bit of sound (?) on the BBC which was looked OK - with Annie Mac, and had footage of people in the live lounge with Jo Whiley.

I think perhaps the best format ever would have been John & Jules Jam. John Peel and Jules Holland would have been a great partnership together, discovering a wide range of acts from these shores to entertain us.
