Was wondering if the results show will go live when DWTS finishes in a couple of weeks time. Len and Bruno should be available then.

Not according to the BBC.

I think they have to dismantle the studio set up the minute the show is over.

They wouldn't want to get everyone back for a second day.

....and so do I.....preferably on the Saturday night as well. I don`t mind the Sunday show even though I always know the result(thanks to DS) actually it`s usually a good night on the forum while we all wait for the result.....but the final HAS TO BE LIVE

^ exactly, it would be a nightmare - they'll want to use Sunday for practice or just time off, anyway!

I believe that it'll be live and on the Saturday night.

I agree, it would be much better live. This current format is not really working.

The current format really isn't working for me (and quite a lot of other people I suspect).

Having to set aside both Saturday & Sunday nights to the show is a bit much.

I certainly prefer the original format.
Knowing that you are watching a recorded 'end of the show' really dampens the excitement.

It must also be difficult for Bruce and Tess to manage half a show live and the other half being recorded for the next day.

The old adage "If it aint broken, don't try and fix it" very much applies in this case.

The ratings would suggest that isn't the case. The results show was getting around 7 million last year most nights. This year, most of them have been 8million+.

The response from the Beeb - that young people were more likely to be out on Sat nights so missed out on the SCD Results Experience - actually makes some sort of sense. And yes, the ratings are good - so it seems like they're right.

Just because some of us don't like it, doesn't mean that we're representative of the public. Change doesn't have to be bad - and I for one appreciate my Saturday nights back.

I'm one of those sad people who enjoyed the highlights show on the Sunday last year, so I'd very happily watch a repeat

but just in case anyone takes any notice of what we say on these forums PUT THE RESULTS SHOW BACK TO SATURDAY NIGHT

Are the general public excluded from the recording on Saturday nights now? in order to keep the result secret?
From what I've seen It seems only celebs and family members attend now.

No, it only happened this week because the show moved to a smaller studio while CIN was on - it happens every year now.

Well I've not seen any interviews with 'the public' from a Saturday night show so far this year, or any shots of a public audience for that matter. IF they are there are they sworn to secrecy?

The Sunday show is doing too well to be got rid off, unfortunately. There are elements of it I enjoy - love the pro dances, love the backstage stuff - but it's a little bit of a damp squib if you know the results. And I can't stop F5-ing on a Saturday for that result to come in...

If anything, keep the Sunday show, but make the results live. Even if the pro dances are recorded earlier and are broadcast 'semi-live' - with a bit of a delay - there's no bite to the results this year.

No because the result has been leaked on here every week so far by people who were there or know someone who was.

I watch the results show even though I already know the result from this forum, but that doesn't mean I like it. Actually I record it and skip through the bits I can't be bothered with. So ratings don't necessarily mean approval.

I wonder, halfway through the show, how many people on this forum have adjusted their views and are now happy with the Sunday results, and how many would still prefer it to go back to Saturday. Would be interesting to do a poll.

the ratings show a different picture tho

I read that 8.5 million people tuned in on sunday to see kate and anton leave - that is a huge figure and i would imagine they are getting the same figures on the sat night as well

the BBC have certainly won the ratings battle which is what they set out to do

I personally HATE have the show split as the majority of people on here do as well (as well as numerous people working on the show I believe) but if the rating continue to be so huge I cant see them changing it for future series

Fingers crossed tho that the final is live - it has to be surely??

I am now happy with the Sunday show, having been very sceptical about it before the series started.

Having said that, there is no way that the BBC would be able to get everyone back on the Sunday to broadcast the show live live, and the costs of doing so would be rather high I would have thiught.

I've always wondered the order they do the sunday programme.

For example, Camilla was wearing her purple outfit at the start and end of the show yet wore two different outfits for the professional dance and the other dance to the singer. I know the show is edited as there is no way she would be able to change within seconds but then to have to go back into her sweaty purple dress at the end seems abit odd.

Did Camilla not emerge for the results show in the Foxtrot dress, rather than the Rumba one?

I highly doubt it isn't in the order we see it, near enough - I mean with last week's group Jitterbug, there is no way Penny'd've been able to perform that after being kicked out, given her reaction...

I quite like the Sunday show. Its a lot more polished then last year (obviously because they have time to edit it) and it gives me something to watch on a sunday night!
I still hope the finale is live though.

I suspect they take their time doing the pro dance and dance-to-singer-bit after the live show on Saturday goes out, then film the little bit we see with them waiting and reading the results out all together. Does mean she'd have to get back into their clothes - but then that's what was happening with the live results shows last year.

If it`s down to three on the final night, how will they work the vote for the 3rd place and re-open lines for the F2 if it isnt live ?
