Home theatre system
Hi all, first post so be gentle.
I have recently become the proud owner of the following system Sony KDL32S2530 32 inch Bravia 1080i HDTV (TV) Sony DAV D2410 home theatre system inc DVD (HT) 5.1 plus woofer Playstation 3 (PS3) I already had a Sky Digibox with my old system Apologies if this is somewhat long winded but here the issue. I had Curry's come and set up the system for free and as I dont have a picture to show you it goes something like this. Co-ax Sky into Sky box from dish Sky connected to TV via scart HT connected to TV via scart and also co-ax audio PS3 connected to TV via HDMI in port There is only one scart on the HT and a spare on the Sky box. So heres the deal. I can get surround from the DVD no probs and sounds great but I get some bleed if the TV volume is turned up - is this normal? I can get simulated surround through the HT from PS3 but not perfect sound and some slight buzzing of the rear speakers - this is done by selecting 'Line' on the HT - whats the issue with that? I cant get surround sound through the HT when watching terrestrial TV or Sky so Sky Movies, Box Office or Music only through TV speakers which sucks. Again, sorry for the long post - can anyone help? Thanks Last edited by RichieRambler : 20-11-2007 at 11:51. Reason: Spelling error |

are there options on the telly to adjust scart options?
like sending down signal from av1 to av 2/ av3 that way what ever you are watching on telly screen will be sent down to HT to the speakers, but dont know about hdmi signal line is scart 1 or scart 2 |

yes but can you send signal down av2?
if not swap over scarts so ht on av1 ( which is generally bi directional) and sky on av2 |

Good question. I have just checked on the back of the TV and the two sockets are called merely one 1 and 2. The Scart going into number 1 connects to the HT/DVD system.
What difference does this make. |

http://pdf.crse.com/manuals/2661555181.pdf
looking at your manual theres not much connectivity at all scart is only output only , page 73 you will have to connect as per page 27 you might be better getting an amp that has 2 or 3 hdmi inputs, 2 scart inputs and respective outputs |

Now the sky audio is connected directly to the HT and I can get surround sound from all speakers now. The quality is not as good through the HT than directly from DVD - is this to be expected? |
