TV for Bedroom
Hey all, anyone got and recommendations for a flatpanel TV for my 12 year old daughters bedroom that I am doing up at the moment.
It has to have decent picture, digital receiver etc but I dont want it to cost the earth. Size really matter and I ont want a beast, just a user friendly, inexpensive, reliable device. Suggestions on wall mounting would also be welcome. Thanks folks.

What is the budget? This will dictate the size range. It depends also on branding as you can pay £250 for a cheap but watchable 26" or £450 for a good brand. The same applies in all size ranges. As for wall mounting I would not bother if under 20" unless viewing very close as you will not get a good viewing angle!

Hope I'm not hijacking this thread, but further to the OPs question, are there any brands in the 26" and below size that should be avoided like the plague? I see brands like Beko and whatnot at affordable prices, but I'm a bit wary TBH.

26" would probably be too large. I guess circa 22" would be ideal. I hadnt really thought about budget but dont want a dud. Viewing will be about 3m metres away above a the foot of a bed so I would need to fix the panel to face downwards. All that said, I really dont want to be paying £450. Its costing me a fortune to do the bedroom up in the first place! Laters. |

maybe settle for a 17". Check this out in Asda 1st but be quick.
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/(16413)...furbished.aspx Bedroom TVs used to be 15"(14" viewable). Freeview boxes can be had for £10. Scart size freeview can be had for £25. Freeview TVs are stilltoo much a premium unless someone knows better |

Good questions. By the way, how do I edit my post as I noticed a few typos in the my text? I DONT want a beast and size IS a matter.

I have a 50" TV in my bedroom. I know this will annoy a lot of people, saying that it is too big, but I love it

![]() Anyway, I made the previous comment, as all I ever seem to see is people saying not to put a big screen in a bedroom |
