Does anyone have the Panasonic 5.1 Surround system SCPT-450 which retails instores around £199?
I only ask as I am thinking of getting a PZ70 42" Panasonic plasma and I know that Comets are giving this surround system away "free" with the tv.
Thing is, I had a chance to "try" and test it in Curry's today - and I must admit I was not impressed. Ok - for a system costing only £200 I suppose you're not going to be blown away by the sound quality but the sub seemed very small and didn't seem to be very powerful. I also had to turn it up quite loud to get any decent sound out of it (around 30 out of 50 on the dial)...
My old Sony DAV SB100 (330w total) seems to be much better and more powerful. I would keep this unit, but I really want a 5.1 surround system that upscales - can anyone help with either their views on this system or point me in the direction of another unit - maximum budget is around £300.
